As much as I'm a proponent for being prostate cancer free, let's be real gentlemen (and lady)...any tips?

Based on simple observations, some of the best dancers in india are all skinny. So, ideally you would want to cater your workouts to reach such a desired result. Adding too much bulk would only restrict your mobility.

What I'm doing is taking protein shakes and amino acid tablets and then doing pure workouts at the gym. Gotta be careful though!
What is your workout routine? What is your goal? What is your caloric intake? Merely going to the gym and taking supplements is not sufficient information to determine if you are training for "Bhangra shape."
Ideally, a "Bhangra shape" is procured via obtaining the compact look instead of the bulky look. You have to concentrate on low reps, heavy weight for the former and high reps, low weight for the latter. That is why Bodybuilders are not necessarily the strongest since they bulk the muscle by increasing the number of reps. By getting the compact look, you mostly gain strength which is ideal for stamina in bhangra while maintain grace. Concentrate mmore on compound exercises such as squats, deadlifts, power cleans/clean and jerk, snatch, rows and military presses. They engage most of the body parts which allows you to increase your overall strength instead of isolated exercises which increase strength in the areas targeted. You should still do isolated exercises such as tricep pulldows or bicep curls but focues more on the compound exercises. Also, MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR LEGS! Squats are ideal for improving your groundwork in bhangra and allows you to lift your legs a little more during the moves such as dhamaal.

girls: for arms I use five lb. freeweights and do lots of reps to strengthen my arms for saap segments. The reps ensure that you have the stamina for saap segment but that you don't get bulky and gross like boys :p in general when in the off-season I do the most recent routine twice back-to-back every day, taped. I feel the best way to increase ur stamina for bhangra is to well, do bhangra ! I tape myself to a) push myself (like doing a runthru while someone's watching) and b) so I can see my runthru after the fact and potentially learn something. During the season I cut out all soda and drink at least a liter of water everyday (im tiny haha) and try to cut out junk food. I restrict excercising during the week to just practice (so that I can go all out) but on the weekends 2 miles every day (usually run the first mile and a half and walk the last half mile). Hope that helps!

i agree. the best way to stay in shape is honestly doing your routine over and over. strive to go all out everytime not just half-assing it :)

Kaaleh Sholay are good so are badaam as random daily snacks.

Try this though to jack your stamina up

Change diet plan- no more big three meals. Switch to six meals a day(small meals) just enough to kill the hunger
Workout- weight training is needed. the stronger ur body the more u can do. Plyometrics and yoga are good. Interval are awesome. not slacking at practice helps too :p
