Mix is hot!! honestly i think you guys were ALOT better last year, personally this wasnt really what i expected from you guys esp after your bruin and bash performance from last year. Seemed like a new crew the way you do moves and how you excute them. There were a lot of mess ups i spotted, guys forgetting steps and formations. You did a few to many khunda spins i think and your daang segement was a bit to long. The postives to this routine is when the girls came out. THEY KILLED IT. Lots of energy, clean and it was entertaining to watch them. Second half of the routine was your strong point. Lets see what you brought at bruin though :)

looked like a really fun performance. i agree with a lot of what Varan said. The guys looked really plain and kinda weird with the shorter sleeves, and no phuman. to me that just took away from a lot of the performance because I'm not used to seeing that because it looked weird. I'm diggin the vardi idea, but shorter sleeves and no phuman? may need to change that up.

This isn't the BMW that we came to love from Royale, BBC and Bruin. The swagger, style, nakhre (oh Abhijit, oh how you made our loins tingle with that smile of yours) and talent are unmistakably gone. It's clear that a newer younger crew has taken the name. This isn't a critique, rather an observation. You boys have huge shoes to fill and a lot of work ahead of you, but granted you're up to the challenge, you guys have the potential to get as good as the old BMW crew, if not better.

As Varun said, chill out with those khundey spins. Seriously. Too much of a good thing is ALWAYS a bad thing. In my opinion, if you must khunda spin, only once in an entire routine. As siddy pointed out, the vardiyan are good ideas, but awkwardly executed. Vardiyan should make the dancer look like a better dancer. If you want to go sleeveless, you better have Jay Cutler biceps/forearms. The design also needs to be more intricate especially if you want to compete with the current standards. The tiger stripes are cool, but they look like they were made at Jo Ann Fabrics. The colors are also very dull and the black kurta kinda fades in with the background. As an 8-man team, you really need to go rangla-jodi and you can do the tiger stripes as a design. Also, chill out with that lion roar sound clip. We get it, you guys like kitties. After the first two times, it's not badass anymore.

There is a reason why teams will go with two, even three prop segments. It provides variety. If you're trying to be creative by only using one prop segment, good for you - that's applaudable. But I think you guys really should throw in another prop segment (ie: saap, kaato, even chimta) until you guys can think of more creative khundey moves. (They got repetitive after a while) As a team, you guys are decently coordinated (the khundey segment was very poorly coordinated - khundeys were all over the place), but most of the dancers need to work on their form, grace, energy and stage presence. At times, it looks like the moves are owning you guys and not vice versa. If you watch the performances from Elite 8, you'll notice that on most of the teams, no dancer will ever pass up the opportunity to look at the audience. It may be something you need to enforce in the choreography, but avoid looking down or looking sideways (even if you are moving sideways). There are dancers that need to watch their heads - sometimes they lean their heads in a bit too much and it looks awkward. There are also other dancers that are overemphasizin' or trying to throw in a "swagger" (ie: head roll) but don't have the proper form to make it look good. The ending was very lackluster. BMW of old used the same Flavar Flav sound clip at BBC 2008, except with a tower forming as the base rotated around surrounded by the rest of the team with hands crossed on their chests. Badass. For those of us who remember that performance, that sound clip only brings back those memories and a comparison between the old and the current.

As I said, you guys have big shoes to fill, but you guys are taking initiative by trying something new. My opinion, as usual, will only be one of many, so take whatever you see fit from my suggestions. Best of luck.

Kinell and Varan said what was needed to be said.
This isnt the BMW that I loved to watch. One thing that I personally didnt like were the new outfits, you guys are BMW not sher foundation, imo. The khunda segment was too long. After 1/4 into your routine, some of the dancers look dead. Only part that was cool was NBA because they brought in that energy which you guys were missing. But they cant do all the work, ya know. Mix was nice tho. Goodluck in future comps.

Yeah I totally agree! The improvement from roayle to bruin was amazing last year! And I was really looking forward to a killer performance; especially since the mix was hot!! Good luck tho in the future!
