Calling all Big 10 University Bhangra Teams!!

We are looking into hosting the first Big 10 Bhangra Competition with schools from the Big 10 Conference hosted by NS Media. It will be held sometime in March and will be located in Indiana or Illinois depending on how many schools participate.

This isn't any ordinary Bhangra competition though. It will be more challenging, exciting, and fun. Think of it more as a "showdown". More details to come once officially announced. Please email us at nsmediaonline@gmail.com if your team is interested in competing. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with prize money distributed accordingly.

If you feel as if we should broaden the spectrum of teams allowed, please email us your comments to nsmediaonline@gmail.com
We do not want to limit any interested bhangra teams. We would just like to see who is interested in competing before moving foward.

Once again, this is a competition you do not want to miss. New ideas are being brought to the table to make this an awesome show.

(This competition does not have any relation to a competition previously posted on BTF which was also supposed to be located in Indiana)

Thanks!

We're def' Big East. But, I know Penn State has been trying to start a bhangra team all year.
lets do this....big east bhangra...that would be nasty.

or we can have some sort of bracket system for some huge college competition. like each conference involved has their own small competition and then the winners of those competitions move up to the next round (idk how many rounds there would be cause it depends on how the bracket would work)...and then the best of each conference have a competition and the winner claims the title "best collegiate bhangra team of **year**"

Eating a burrito from BTB right now. Chipotle is superior.

This is exactly what I had pictured in my head when coming up with the idea of Big 10 Bhangra. It would be exciting if more conferences get involved ending with one great competition with winners from each conference competing.

honestly, for a great show, you may wanna open it up to big 10, big east, and ACC because you may not be able to field a full show with just one or two conferences.

Or try and put into play a points system for bhangra based on which true rankings can be formulated

and the brackets

and then.. march madness!

You should recieve bids from the conferences, and although that would make it like an elite 8, you cant guarantee competition just from 1-2 conferencs.

No more choco-tacos :'(

Great Idea bro ... Four conferences: Southwest, Northwest, Southeast, Northeast. To make the concept different from Elite 8 make it strictly collegiate. Have the 3 placing teams in each conference come to the final showdown in Indiana or Illinois, but this would make it a Big 12 not big 10 ... lol! Get in touch with major competitions organizers or cultural organizations from each area and see if they are willing to collaborate and make this happen.

This is a great idea. I agree on have a BIG 12. 3 from east location. But like harman said, not all schools are D-1 teams. To make it fair as a collegiate competition. All teams should have members going to that school and be an official team of the school. It can't be like, "oh snap, let's just get ppl together and say we go to blah blah school." you would need to be strict since its a "collegiate" competition.

It can potentially be one awesome college competition.

Sickkk idea! We'd be more than down to compete in an event like this, especially for some type of Big10/ACC/BigEast challenge. Let's throw some mid majors TCU/Boise State in too! hahah

Hopefully I can get my boys Bruce Weber and Demetri McCamey there on the sidelines
