I know I'm not in the ladder, but I've read whole thing and heres my opinion: If you think you're a good DJ and have confidence in your work, stop bitching and battle it out.

I know I'm not in the ladder, but I've read whole thing and heres my opinion: If you think you're a good DJ and have confidence in your work, stop bitching and battle it out.

Discussing the rules is not bitching. There is something called discussion and being fair toward everyone. If you have read the whole thing, than present your argument. There's no good dj or bad dj here here trying to get ahead of each other. Ladder will eventually bring you down if your up since that's the whole point of it. I am in it for fun and gonna be eventually leaving since fall engineering semester coming up.


To mithu: maybe we can set the specific time of posting challenges. Say every tuesday at 9 pm, submit your challenges.

Okay ima try and explain how this works. The point of the priority rule is to favor lower DJs. Without it, higher up DJs can simply ignore challenges from lower DJs and start their own, to avoid the possibility of losing their spot. Thats unfair to lower DJs, and it prevents upward movement in the ladder (which is what we want).

When challenges are chained, the challenge of the lowest DJ in the chain takes priority. For example. DJs a, b, c, D, and e are ranked in that order, with a at the top. B comes in first and challenges A. But then c comes and challenges b. And then E comes and challenges c. E's challenge takes priority. C has to choose whether or not to accept E's challenge. B's challenge to a still stands and a must choose whether or not to accept it (even if there were DJs above a, a cannot make a challenge. He has a pending challenge from a lower DJ.)

However, there's something that I think you guys are not keeping in mind. Perhaps it was not explained properly, so I shall state it here. All this priority stuff applies only to *unaccepted* challenges. If a DJ challenges someone and is then challenged by someone, that DJ is obligated to address the second challenge *only if* his initial challenge was not accepted. For example, in the above situation, if a immediately accepted B's challenge, c is out of luck. He cannot challenge b.

So. In the current situation. At the moment, lakha s challenge takes precedence. Ssk has to choose to accept or reject it. Before he does that, if someone comes along and challenges lakha, then that challenge takes priority. Concept cannot challenge sk cause preet already accepted sk's challenge.

Hint: to prevent shit from getting super complicated, accept your challenges quickly. Damn. I had to type this shit on my phone and it took me like an hour.
