Really hard to vote on this one. The original song was raw vocals so I think this one goes to whoever made the best use of the vocals, which was Track B, should win. The rap vocals didn't make any sense to me though (made sense after a while). but I guess they were there to fill space.

Track A simply put in some other pappi gill vocals and finished it up with a raw untouched clip of the song. The gunshot to kill the dhola vocals was ??? . I would have liked to hear some reverb maybe or something to make the vocals sound finished and not as raw. It was not as clean as track B either, but still a really good effort from both mixers.

while the vocals were low on track A, it just had a better vibe to me...track b's biggie vocals seemed a little out of place and inappropriate for the words of the song...both were great though...

After listening to both mixes like 20 times.. i change my mind. Track A flowed alot better than Track B.. In Track B the rap did come out of no where.

this WAS a tough one. jesus... Track A needs balance! Bass tones just droned over the rest, not only the vocals. Even the little algozey effects and things you added were lost, it took me two listens to even catch it.

Track B, def hype, fun to listen to, not sure how i felt about the hype feel with the lyrics though...

Track A's gonna take it for me, but BARELY. The quality of the mixing fell short (track B was good for this), but the overall idea/feel wins out.

tough one here fosho. i think the overall ominous sounding tone of A was more appropriate to mix with the original, but i liked the vibe and hype feeling that i got from B more, esp mixing with aaja sohniya. biggie lyrics were odd though.

Liked the idea behind track A, but felt like the idea wasnt fully executed. also dhola ended very abruptly for me. So B it is

Track A: i think it got a little boring, as it felt very repetitive

Track B: Seems a little off towards the beginning.

track A: i liked the "ominous" opening; too little bhangra mixes have that feel. that being said, wayy too long of a buildup. i wasn't a fan of that. and like gsingh said, the gunshot vocal ending was weird. i also dont think the ominous tone was carried all the way through. throw some o fortuna on that, perhaps? any choral chant, basically. instant ominousness.
track B: i liked the lack of extraneous shit in the beginning. went straight to the vocals which was sick. however, adding the black guy vocals in the end seemed out of place, as they didn't fit with the "dum chk chk" from challa. this was a more dance-y type mix, and i totally thought the beginning bit could work for a shikkeh segment.


i vote track B. more enjoyable to me. although A just barely missed it. it the ominous thing was kept throughout solidly, it would have won hands down.

personally, i liked track A better, i just wish the vocals were a little more prominent, but it flowed a lot more smoothly than B, i think. i liked the hype factor that B had, but i didn't really get the whole biggie thing... kinda random.
