Hi guys. I recently bought a dhol from Nagi in Patiala and had it shipped across. When I play dhol, the bass has a very big amount of sustain and vibration after it. I wonder if anyone could help. Also, I was thinking of getting a Remo Ebony Ambassador on it, and take off the MR skin that is on the tilli side at the moment. If anyone can help that would be great. Thanks

If your bass side has a very big amount of sustain and vibration after it, does your dagga side have masala in it? If so, remove masala from the bass side.Kish2468 said:
before you put on remo ambassador, always check to see if there's any nuts on the inside that's attached to the socket, if not: don't bother getting remo because what will happen is the massive drumhead tension will make sockets pull up which is never good,
