Denver played New York so bad. Knicks front office is stupid. Gave up half their roster for an aging Billups and a Melo they could have signed at the end of the season. SMH. Nets owner on the other hand, is a genius
Prokerov is a genius when it comes to handling his business. If the Knicks can't do anything in the 2011-2012 season, the nets get a ring before the Knicks.
How? He missed out on the guy he has been chasing for 4+ months and has made no significant moves to improve the Nets sine he has taken over. In fact, he made one of the worst off-season moves in sigining Travis Outlaw to a massive contract. What makes anyone think the Nets have a chance of winning a title before the Knicks?

Suddenly speculating/predicting things as a fan is being an internet GM? haha okay ill just twiddle my thumbs like 95% of fans out there. I'm done with this argument because we both said alot of the same things, but when we didnt you were just looking at the same coin from the opposite side. The knicks made a very bold move for the future, yes, but theyre going to suck ass for the rest of the season. Love, there is no point in arguing with someone who is worried bout donnie vs. donny, and laughs at someones name... what are we 5?

Congrats AB752w/e the fuck it is. You win your argument. Holler at me when the Knicks are still figuring out the pieces in 2 seasons, and then i'll let you know the inner workigns of the knicks organization that you seem to think you alone know so much about.

On another note, to our more mature participants, D-Will to the nets... Harman what do you think of that one? I'd say Prokhov is making major moves ;)

Haha. Your got your boy to post a picture for eh. Cute. Ive never seen that before. LOL. That was hella cute.
Havent heard any one person say that Donnie Walsh's job was on the line. You internet GMs just make up shit to prove a stupid delusional point. I know I am a FAN, and consequently, it is my opinion. Im not breaking down the interworkings of the fuckin organization, hahaha, chill out. In your first "im gonna make a subjective topic objective" response- you said that his job IS obviously on the line, then ending the paragraph with- WE dont know if his job was on the line. Either you are asserting that his job is in danger now, and wasnt before; or you are struggling to complete an organized thought. Either way, read what you write. For some reason I went on, and read the rest of your post, even though, I should have stopped right there.

Since we are trying the whole "lets punk each other thing"- its Donnie Walsh, not DONNY. idiot. You keep on saying Felton is better for the long run. Then consequently say "its different if they get a FA". Do you think NY made the trade with the thoughts that we are giving up future PG, or do you think they made the trade thinking, we are gonna get a future PG- including the 2 biggest names that have already expressed interest? Do you even read your posts? Of course they are going for a FA. Felton is NOT a championship PG pyaara. You can try your internet punk routine all you want, you know its not true.

I always find it funny when you SPECULATE, but trying to make the new york knicks organization out like fools.LOL. Who the fuck are you? At least I am telling you, im a fuckin fan speaking out of my ass... your the guy making long responses trying to disprove something that is objective. Chill out, your a fan, and your on a bhangra website tough guy. Breathe, relax, laugh. Not everything in life is about having a pissing contest. With exception of your fan that you got there, posting pictures for you, its my opinion vs yours. Haha. Are you trying to "disprove" my OPINION?!!? I dont even understand the point of your post. It went from sharing your opinion, to you trying to either punk me, or disprove what I think is correct. Help me out. What are you honestly, at the end of the post- what are you trying to accomplish?

Obviously the inflating of stats went beyond your head. Nash average 18 and 11 in MVP years, with being one of the worst defensive PGs in the league. Because when you are putting up 120-130 points- your gonna average more assists. But of course, that would require reading to understand, but judging by your own contradictory post, you obviously have some sort of grudge against reading.

Listen "love" hahaha love - fact vs fiction. When the pirates involved like David Stern point out the facts- ie) the owners are losing money (something that even billy hunter admitted). Smaller organizations are struggling. Revenue sharing is on the table. Hard cap is on the table. These are facts. It is not the same thing as your buddy being one of those soap opera mags that breaks down the drama in the knicks organization. I`ll give him one thing. He does know how to state the obvious... `Dolan wanted Melo`. NOOOOOOOOOO. GET OUT!!!!

This takes the cake: Billups didnt LEAD the pistons to the champsion in 04. The finals MOST VALUABLE PLAYER didnt LEAD the team to the championship. THE MVP of the finals- was not doing any sort of leading.... The leading was lacking.... from the MVP... no leading what so ever. Got it. Hahaha. he was THE distinguishing factor. He literally was THE reason that they won the championship. He was THE most important player on the floor. Yes, the rest of them contributed. Yes. I get it. But the MVP lead them to the championship... Yea I get it, they all contributed. I get it.

To tell you the truth. Ive wasted too much time on this post. I dont even care lol. I have no time to look up stats and pictures of David Hasselhoff. Enjoy the pissing contest, im out children.
Okay, so when we talk out of our ass, at least we use news resources and stats to support our claims. You bitch because we have people who agree with us and on their own feel like you got your ass owned.... Who's worried about a pissing contest now? lol its just sports, boo. Chillax, the knicks have sucked for years, whats the problem with a couple more?

Oh I'm also talking out of my ass on that last statement too. Who knows whether theyve sucked... not making the playoffs for almost a decade is just a STAT.... lmao.

I think he possibly made his first good move since taking over as GM (assuming Williams re-signs with the Nets which is no guarantee). Prokhorov missed out on all the big free agents in the off-season, overspent on an average player (Outlaw), and missed out on the player he REALLY wanted- Carmelo. Until this deal there were no facts to support him being a genius as a GM.

Still, Derron Williams and Brook Lopez are not enough to take the Nets anywhere. They lack depth and until they address that in the off-season they are nowhere near an NBA title. Lopez has actually regressed this year and I am not confident he has the ability to be a top tier center in this league.

Also, to the people talking about Billups...I watched nearly every game he played in Detroit for 7 years and can tell you he was in fact the leader of that '04 Pistons championship team. Ben Wallace has never been a vocal leader, Prince was just in his 2nd year, Rasheed was always a loose cannon and Hamilton has never been much of a leader either. At the end of the game, Billups was the one in control and he got the name "Mr. Big Shot" for a reason.

Agreeable, but Prokhorov pulled off a sweet one with this, and they have lots more to come before next season. I don't see how you can really get it wrong, you were 2nd in the running for the most desired player during the season in Melo, only losing out becuase the player himself had his own plans. I can see them being a very marketable, very attractive option for others in the offseason, and yes Brook Lopez is average, but the potential is there... giving him other pieces in the surrounding will only allow him to be better.

As for Billups, I agree, he was the leader, but the thing is you had other people to take huge, lead dog positions on the team on different nights... if it wasnt there for Billups, Hamilton was on... When Rasheed was hot, man was HOT! You had lock down defense in Prince and Ben Wallace pulling down rebounds like he had magnets on his hands. Billups had to be a voice on a team with so much focused talent that his job was relatively easy.

My argument wasnt that felton>billups... but regardless of w/e "inflated stats" may exist in the d'antoni system, felton shows promise as a young point guard. In a team in REBUILD phase, that wants to be contesting for titles for the next 5 years, you don't want billups to be your primary guard. With all due respect, he is quite old and joining a high-octane offense. It isn't a walk in the park. In addition, he'll be out in a year depending on how the knicks look... and they themselves will be searching for a more long-term option (CP3, etc.). Felton could have filled that void, and he would have only gotten better with Anthony on the court.

I just want to see Gallinari do amazing things, I feel like he had so much potential and could have been NY's rock within the next 2 years.

The Nets do have potential, just as the Clippers have had potential for 10 years. Until a team has proven players in place I hestitate to talk about domination or championships, especially when it is contingent on off-season moves which are yet to happen. Prokhorov has no history of building a championship team and so many teams every year have 1 or 2 players in place but just can't put the pieces around them to win it all. It is extremely difficult to do, I am not sold on the Nets doing it just yet.

Yes, the Pistons were very balanced and the beauty of the team was the ability for all 5 players to have monster games in one way or another. But on a Larry Brown coached team the point gaurd is the most important position and Billups was THE leader. While Rasheed could go off on any given night, he was never a leader- he often needed to be controlled. And believe, it is not easy to motivate or control Rasheed...I remember when we got him there were a lot of people who said he was too out of control and too much of a team cancer. While Hamilton was consistent in his 20 points he was never the guy who hit the game winning shot or take control of a game by himself. While Prince made some great plays offensively and defensively, he was the young guy on the team..no where near a leader. And while Ben was my favorite Piston of all time and was the definition of heart and hard work, he never actuallty lead the team, he did the dirty work and kept his mouth shut.

I agree Billups may not fit into the Knicks' system, as I said earlier he is best in a half court set not on a running team. But Billups is a natural leader, is a proven winner and is a veteran who still has some gas left in the tank. I also think Felton can be replaced, especially on a team like NY where players want to go and pair up with Melo and Stoudemire.

Harman, prokhorov doesn't have any experience building championship teams here. I remember reading something about when he first took over CSKA Moscow, they were more of the bulls of two years past (a great squad, just not enough umphff to win it all). He turned them into the Barca of Russian bball before he left. Again, I just read this somewhere when he was first mentioned about possibly owning the nets. Give it two years I'm sure we will see the nets be great.

And as for AB whatever, I don't even kno love. Everyone who has posted has made their posts based off of all the information that is put out for the public to read (statistical facts, making their posts objective) Seems like you're gettin your facts from tmz (aka subjective bakwas), so chill out there keyboard warrior.

Lopez is by far the worst rebounding big man I have ever seen. Jordan used to talk shit about how Sidney King could never rebound even though he was a 7 footer. Lopez is this generations Sidney King.

Bargnani is pretty damn bad as well haha. Lopez is disappointing this year on rebounding.
Oh my comment on Prokhorov was somewhat sarcastic. When he took his position, in a press conference someone asked him a question, and he said something like "we're going to turn Knicks fans into Nets fans". And then the whole speculation of NJ picking up some Knicks that were traded to Denver was interesting. And then of course trading for D Will wasn't a bad move.

Oh and AB, I respect your love for your team. But I'm not down for arguing to the point where one needs to throw around f bombs and insults. Soo you can have it.

The Celtics just made the most weird move at the deadline, they traded away Perkins to OKC. lol.

Miami wins the East now. Or at the very least will take Boston to the brink for sure.

The only explanation I have for that is the Celtics know for certain Perkins is not healthy enough to play out the rest of the season/will be playing hurt and decided it is better to get a solid player in Green and a servicable big man in Kristic. I like the moves the Thunder are making...Perkins and Ibaka will be strong and Nate Robinson off the bench is solid too.

But wow, this is a ridiculously busy trade deadline. If only the Pistons could dump some salary...

Pistons were apparently about to trade Rip to the Cavs and his contract was gonna get bought out but it fell through.

I think you are right, Perk's knee is probably bad but Presti is a smart dude and wouldnt trade for him then since his contract expires at end of the season too. Maybe Boston thinks Green will be able to spell PP since he is hurting. Kristic and Shaq at the center position is not really ideal though. Miami and Orlando are probably licking their chops thinking about it now.

WOW so much just happened!
OKC, holy crap. I don't want to face them anymore.
Clippers, wtf?
Portland, wow, not bad considering draft picks won't be high.
Rockets, whatsup with them and freakishly long centers? Yao/Thabeet
Rockets/Suns-Eh I actually like brooks in Phoenix

Memphis/Indiana/New Orleans-Upset this trade didn't happen. I love OJ Mayo, and Indiana would have been great for him to establish and redeem himself as a leader of the team behind Granger. Especially with Dunleavy injured, Rush potentially being traded, and Paul George still being a rookie. :(
