Cool video - although I definitely DO NOT recommend those who get motion sickness easily to watch it after a meal, lol.

It's an interesting viewpoint coming from the dancer's standpoint. I always find that it sucks when venue turns up the stage lights so much that you're not able to see the crowd very clearly and hence making it difficult to interact with them (via nakhra, gestures, etc).

Additionally, I wish the guys had on paggs! The girls look far more traditional dancing than the guys due to the lack of paggs. Was this for a talent show or something?

Basim - Yes this was for an on-campus talent show, called Dancer's Symposium. This is CMU Bhangra's Campus team, which is the half of our organization that performs on campus and around Pittsburgh. They ripped it.


The show (DS = Dancer's Symposium) was composed of 2 days Friday & Saturday and since Friday was the first performance ever for many of the dancers we opted against paggan. But Saturday's performance was full paggan and they absolutely killed it. So proud.

We have a video from the second night as well (with full paggan), so once we have that video, I'll post both again.

And yea my friend just bought Google Glass and I was watching the FCB GoPro video, so I thought we should definitely test it out. Luckily he was down to let us use it (assuming we could secure it onto our dancer's head), so we got to do it. Paaghs worked well for securing it if anyone else feels like trying it out. Shouldn't fall off or anything.

Dang, CMU has a separate competitive team and a campus team? That's amazing that there is so much interest for the dance in Penn!

Yep, had 2 teams for like 3-4 years, and then there's a massive campus involvement (they run classes and such)

I have no experience using Google Glass, but the reason I suspect why the video is so disorienting is because the uploader used Youtube's "stabilizer" adjustment which given the context, is not necessary. Deactivate that because the algorithm keeps trying to compensate under the assumption that the camera isn't moving rather it's just in shaky hands and the video should improve.


This is all under the assumption that the stabilizing effect was used... but the way the video distorts, it's not motion shakiness, more like the vertigo effect created by an algorithm that still needs improvement from Google's end.

for sure. I also notice, that youtube/googles algorithm thinks bhangra videos in general need stabilized.

PSA: Only youtube stabilize if it REALLY needs it..
