Thankyou veerji to everyone here.. thankyou for the love and acknowlegdement you are providing me with.. Surely, its a pleasure being here. now, to your questions, i wud like to reply that yes, we have watched videos on youtube of the various teams frm abroad.. n definitely picked up sm ideas.. however, we executed them in a different way.. one move with the Khunde wen we put the khunde on our shoulders during chaal.. that i saw in the nachde sher jawaan set.. however, they did it too fast but it looked graceful.. so we just picked up the idea.. rest was creativity of the Bhangra minds and our very creative coach S. Harmaninder Singh (Manna Bhaji). he was always ready to listen n implement new n better ideas which gave us the confidence to perform n think beyind the boundary-line.. we hope bring many new and graceful things before you all n also to learn a lot from u ppl..

Regards,
Varunjit Singh.

Varunjit paaji...first of all, welcome to BTF. Your perspective is one that this forum has been looking for since it started...questions regarding the way teams from india come up with their sets have come up frequently...If you have the time to answer many of our questions, I'm sure a thread can be created for that purpose. Mods, if he can do it...get it doneee :-*.

Varunjit paaji! Haha, you're on BTF now? Wow ;D Welcome bhai. Always good to have people from abroad on this forum.

Dude, I thought you had Inderjit Singh as your mentor/coach. When did Daviet switch?

You know that you're a baller team (Nachde Sher Jawan) when a top India team takes a small idea from your dance and tries to incorporate into their routine :D

Anyway, I agree with Jeeti.. it would be great to have a thread dedicated to asking Varunjit questions regarding India teams (if he's willing to fulfill our curiosity).

~ Basim

P.S. - Varunjit, check your orkut!!

and Basin veerji.. Principal Inderjit Singh ji is still our mentor but that matters wen we organise the Bhangra training camp in Summers under him and Niti Bhaji.. otherwise Principal is principal to some other college in Punjabi University now. he has otherwise, nothing to do with our competition preparations.. n he is also considered to be Punjab's most renowned and respected Bhangra Lover and Judge.

Sat Sri Akaal Varunjit paaji... welcome to BTF ;D its good to know BTF is reaching the true mainland, "Punjabi di tharti" :)

both these vids are killer sick, in my opinion Daviet cud actually be comparable to Lovely since both routines are madd pump!
the fact that one is cleaner than the other doesnt technically rest aside that one team is better, everything counts... like Daviet's had more creative things in it, and i agree with Herman that Lovely's is something a lot of indian teams do (with the exception of the jhummar move at 6:20, ive only seen them and SGPD use it)

but both teams are really good, loved watching both performances!

that move has def been done before, ive seen diff tdot teams do it, but still looks sick, never seen a team from india do it like that. sickest move for me was a couple after that at 7:50 while the entire team walks from left to right, soo sick.

i cant stop watching this set, daviet has easily pushed the boundary creativity wise. khunde segment looks incredible, jhummar was beautiful, especially the way dholi played the taals, jugni was sick, everyone was low and level with each other - "dudh mandani paigey ehh.." love that boli. its interesting to think about live teams in india utilizing ideas from teams in us/canada, thinking about the way that teams can add twists and new ideas into their sets brings new light onto india teams and almost gives me goosebumps haha. anywya, sick set, congrats to daviet

Sat Sri Akal bai ji to all.. m confused.. What does sick here means.. does it mean real rocking or does it mean really bad performance ?? i couldn't make out bud.. we use the word sick as a bad compliment for a bad performance.. but here, in some posts, i have found it to be confusing.. on one side, the post means its real rocking and on the other hand, it says its sick... please clarify..lol..
