So I needa buy a new dhol, and I won't be going to india any time soon. Anyone know if Dholetc is still working properly with their NAGI dhols?


Last I heard people weren't getting their orders left and right.

If I were you, I wouldn't order it online, ordering it online will rip you off easily, so you have to be extra careful when buying the dhol, I would buy it in person if I were you by sound checking, wood inspection, etc. before buying it in person


I don't know if DholEtc is still working properly or not ???

My old amb dhol unfortunately just is too cracked up now, so i'm pretty much forced to buy it online unless I wanna wait till next summer =(.


I live in california and don't know of any good dhol stores in the area where I can actually test it out.

I still have amb dhol, it's absolutely fine, just slight problem because of remo clear ambassador that makes nuts and bolts pulling up (tightening alot is required), and I'm also getting ripe sheesham(kaali taali or kachi pakki talli) someday soon at Ludhiana, I hope


Any of NRI family of yours is in India?

If yes: you can tell them to order sheesham(either Ludhiana or Jhalandar)(unless you love NAGI{Joginder Singh Nagi & Sons}, it's located at Patiala)

Hey Adam, i'm willing to spend up to 400-500usd.


Shivjot: Do you know of any specific stores in Jalandar? I have family going to India in December(but no one going plays the dhol).


Also the reason I trust NAGI so much is because of their superb Tabla's. So I have no reason to doubt the quality of their dhols.

Well from how much you're willing to spend theirs a wide variety you can pick from, you can get a dhol from made of music (punjabi roots), the dhol factory, jas musicals, kala kendar, etc.Do you have a kik or facebook?

Oh yeah dont order from the dhol company they charge ridicules amount for their dhol, they wanted $980 for a kachi pakki dhol, i mean what nonsense, with that money i could probably buy a tahli dhol with that money from a different company

Oh by the way, you can also get Bhangra Dhol from Ustad Lal Singh Bhatti Ji, I'm not sure if he has a shop located in California or not, it's worth a try :S

A friend of mine recently has bought dhol.etc from the old owner who couldn't keep up with his orders.... it may take some time but if you could get their quailty dhols in no time.... meanwhile all their accessories are in full stock, just picked up some stuff from there last week
