That post might be stupid, but its a good discussion. Randip (a guy I have butted heads with in the past) is making good points, and they are discussing about the idiotic nature of glorying a caste that is based in old notions. I'd take that discussion over the bullshit of post count achievements and other idiotic posts that run wild here over everyday. I like BTF, but dont pretend like what is happening on this website is anymore respectable than what happened on POL.

Bhangra Teams' Forum and Punjab Online. From what I know about the two websites, one is dedicated to Bhangra in general and the other to Punjabi culture. You see my drift? I'm not saying that one is more important than the other or that we shouldn't discuss Punjabi culture here, but if you want the discussion open it up here. By virtue of what BTF is in terms of serving bhangra teams, the subject may not open up by itself though I am not saying that Sikhism, India and Punjab are not important topics to know about. I do not think it's a requirement to have a firm grasp on castes, Jatts, Sikhism..etc to have a firm appreciation of Bhangra. Others may disagree, but that is my opinion.

I am not attacking, just showing how she may be laughing at other people discussing something as idiotic as jatts being used in Bhangra songs, but it sure beats the hell out of the majority of conversations on BTF. Read Randip's comments and learn something.

IF people want to critisize and laugh at POL for their topics, why dont they look at some of the stuff written on BTF. Dont complain because the subject matter isnt all that better here.
