Fun performance and my favorite set from you guys
I like the intro idea, I was sold that you guys were going to come out from the right side but you guys ended up coming from the left, I liked it.

Not a fan of the putting my sapp and crossing it with your sapp thing
Also agree with karthik the whole set has too many stop and watch this moments I would rather just watch you guys dance, for example the idk sapp superman thing in the middle I didn’t like that

Love the way you guys get rid of your shikke its really creative wish I came up with it envy!

Liked your nain choreo it looks like fun

I liked the khunda chaal

For me if you are going to have a kato segment in a music set it has to be really special otherwise id rather dedicate my time to showcase other bhangra choreography. Kato segments in live sets require a lot of attention to each and every click and step and in music sets I feel like sometimes people don’t complete their moves fully, that is why I was not a fan of the kato segment.

I enjoyed your jhummer segment I believe most of your team executed that very nicely, jhummer is all about finishing each and every beat and having a style that your entire team can carry and I think you guys did that nicely.

Really enjoyed your shounk mitran da segment refreshing choreography and good execution probably my favorite part of the set

Ending song boli fantastic and execution was top level

Apna Punjab mela? Of course im a fan you know my old ass

Mix was fantastic

And FREAKING KARAN SINGH IS A DOOOOOOOOOOPE DHOLI, he killed it like really killed it he really reminds me of our dholi neet I can see that karan hypes you guys up and in the other videos (nongtv) he was hyping me up that dagga just sounds so raw and he plays with a lot of power loved it!

QUICK WISDOM

DON’T LET PLACINGS GET YOU DOWN, or stunt your appetite for doing bhangra. Remember what the fun part of bhangra is its getting on stage with your friends and killing it and making spectators dancers friends enjoy themselves watching you and respecting your team for having a dope performance. Remember that placings are a reflection of what 3-5 people felt when watching your performance. Changing those 3-5 people for another 3-5 and they might have you at first, I know its really difficult especially when you are performing for a home crowd but you have to just put that to the side. Come harder next time, kill it even more but never let what 3-5 peoples judgement bring you down or make you want to stop dancing. There are more than 3-5 people who enjoyed this set more than others. Perform, watch your video, and gauge responses from your peers, keep making people want to talk about your set make it memorable, and on to the next competition. Keep fighting, keep your hunger alive for bhangra!

My favorite Furteelay set ! Gsmiz tore that mix up :)

-surprise beginning got me haha i thought the same thing as shahrukh and was expecting you guys to come from the left side of stage
-shikka segment was dope and hella hyped which I loved .. I wasn't a big fan of the shikka on top of the other shikka and I wasn't sure what the gimmick was with something on the shikka when you guys flipped it. Maybe if it was bigger or closer to the front of stage it would have been more apparent. But the way you guys put away your shikka was so clean and I love the constant flow of the set from there
-Khunda chaal was on point! I think the chardre being tied a certain way made them open too perfectly round and thats why more was shown than needed ;) haha
-I'm not a big fan of kato segments either but for a comp like motor city, I could see why you would try and incorporate more traditionality.
-The cleanliness of jhummar made it so sick and the choreo flowed so well
-Yellow jodi gimmick added some fun to the routine and I think it worked well.. I thought Gsimz and Arun were about to make out at one point during that gimmick lol
-Ending build up, detroit vs. everybody gimmmick, mela scene at the end was my favorite parts! You guys left with high energy and killed it

One of the things I did see overall was formations were kinda sloppy at times and lacking creativity. Choreo was great and energy but maybe emphasize a litte more on formations and that'll give you guys more of an edge. But great work regardless and the home crowd seemed to love it! The impact you make and reaction you get from the competition is way better than any trophy in my eyes

really enjoyed watching this set live and meeting some of the guys on furteelay throughout the weekend. Sahil and Gsimz you guys ripped it and red jodi was too nice. I was 99% sure Gsimz and his jodi were going to actually kiss when i watched it live haha

I do wish you guys would make your movements look a little bigger though. while the small movements are easier to clean and can look really nice, i always like prefer seeing a big, powerful movement. Especially since you have such hype dancers top to bottom.

Either way congrats on a great performance, hope to compete against you guys again soon

Couldn't agree more with this statement. I thought this was a placing performance for sure. Keep doing what you guys are doing, just put even more energy and passion into it!

Intro: Fakeout direction was on pointttt. Fooled me, got me and erryone hyped

Sapp: Once team comes out go buck right away with the whole team, make a bang with all of them there, cuz the leadup was already hella suspenseful with the single green guy... maybe don't delay with cripwalking and the footwork?
Love the new fits. Sapp Logo didn't hit - kinda small to see the FS written on there. Elongate saaps more for the "hang your saap on your jodi's saap" trick, not really visible enough
The Sapp-put-away method was brilliant, clean, and behind the scene! nice!

First move after the squat of Nain, do the head movement with it like reds, otherwise looks like a non-move? (too still)
The drop of Nain was dope, 2:37 everyone was on point with looking at their jodis and nakhra :)

Intro to Daang little too stop and go, already have a pause for stoopping down to pick up, maybe don't do more after. Really liked purple long beard in khunda (is that Akums new little bro lol?). Standardize how people crouch for the rumaal gimmick!

Mix and concept of kato intro was dope. overall seg could be cleaner like purple and blues getting low - the effect is lost if they stand too tall behind the central reds

Jhummar was sick intro and everyone very fluid and together

the hollow voiced song semeed kinda abrupt and empty - this is more of a mix thing? sounded like an a capellla almost :*( but sick song, spice it up audio-wise!

Interesting and nice choreo right before the jodi solo. Oh wow a kiss! hahaha vah

Shaunk Mittran Da segment was dope - playful and went with the song, everyone having fun and doing right angles with heads (critical for those stationary jugni stances where everyones pretty much still so the heads matter more)

Pre-bedi segment was energetic and dope
Siiiick the Reminisce Over You song during fasla - been obsessed since Aziz Ansari n NBA Street used this haha

sick ass ending song
Hockey has been done a bunch and didn't make sense? Unless the red wings had a big win the previous weekend or something which I didn't catch?
Detroit V Everybody Was SIIIICK, possibly the only gimmick needed all night other than jodi kiss interaction. I was cheering when I saw it, felt inspiring and almost teared up cuz yall truly have been detroits team past few yers and this is ur hometown stage!

Overall pretty clean and very energetic ending segment. after the *Shings*, maybe do jumps or something more "final" looking rather than stomping, the stomps into the "we are done now" stance ended kinda awk.

Ending mela was jolly and beatiful well played i always like your ending poses. Everyone had energy throughout and brought good passion to the ending mela. Leaves us feeling Happy!

I really liked this performance. Everyone has their shit together and looks like a mature team. Congrats, Keep it up, keep it fresh, can't wait to see more!!!
