are you gonna try to do it in 2 days or 1? i was gonna do it but decided i was too lazy. my friends and family have done it and they say its not bad at all, hem kunt is like a beast compared to half dome. just be sure to pace yourself and i think you will enjoy it.

Kiranjit and I went together last summer. It took us 9 hrs to do the hike from what I remember (5 up, 4 down). You honestly don't need two days to do it. You should get to yosemite the night before and sleep in one of the "tent cabins" they have there. We started our hike bright and early at 5 am. The hike itself could be pretty brutal depending on what shape you're in, but you just have to pace yourself. One thing that I would suggest is to get yourself one of those camelback water reservoirs, they do wonders for hikes like this. Climbing the half dome is the real challenge though, and it wasnt a physical one either- More of a mental challenge. When you're at the bottom of the half dome theres an area where you can sit and prepare yourself to climb the cables to the very top of the dome. greatest feeling in the world when you get to the top
