I agree with mariam on the point of recycling. There are a few teams on the circuit who set trends. They come outta nowhere and do things with props, moves etc that we have never seen before. And then 80% of the circuit takes those ideas changes them up a bit and uses them.

-personally i thank these teams for being trendsetters, im pretty sure that many teams have taken these ideas changed/spiced them up thrown them in their routines and gotten some trophies outta it .

-and i think mariams just trying to push everyone to become trendsetters and do stuff thats completly different, then to just change/spice up something another team came up with.

For example- aeg sticking khunde in shikke ive never seen before.

This point has been made EVERY year, for atleast 3-4 years (even into POL days). All I can say is that the number of teams has exponentially grown, and average quality of teams has also improved. This makes it much much harder to bring out that special trendsetting performance.

I don't understand how the same people can argue, "it's so refreshing to see a simple clean team" and then also argue "such and such is played out I'm sick of seeing it". If it's becoming the norm, then it can become normal to do it. A team shouldn't be looked down on for doing something that is prevalent, they just dont' get the cool factor anymore.

ALSO, keep in mind that many teams work in seasons. What was interesting Big Apple in August may not be as interesting at Bruin the next May. Some teams would rather be clean than change up all the choreo, it all depends. The better teams bring something new and adapt, everyone else does there best and there's no reason to be so irritated by it.

This thread is bullshit.
All teams that are "trendsetters" should be happy that other teams are trying something similar to their concept. It is a sign of respect. It shows that the team found your new idea interesting and wanted to try something similar.

+1

Remember the time that everyone tried to go live because they were so passionate about live bhangra and preserving it in all its purity?

what's the point of existence?
I ask myself that everyday.
my assumption is that there's no real purpose except to just exist and live out our lives until we are biologically incapable of existing in this state any longer, i see existence as an opportunity to contemplate.
