You shouldn't be doing abs that often, just like other muscles, they need time to repair and grow (which happens on rest days) so it would be more practical to work them out 2-3 times within a week and you'll see better resultssiddyp said:cardio everyday. Wow. Compton YOU ARE THE FN MAN. seriously you're like my soul mate. You know everything. FINALLY a desi that knows how to work out properly.COMTONDAJATT said:I usually do 3x a week strength training regimen with like 4 or 5 core lifts. Squats, deadlift, bench, overhead press, and throw in barbell rows maybe if I have time. I usually only worked out for about 45 minutes but if I had some free time I would just go try to max out on dips or pullups, way more practical than doing curls and tricep extensions.
dude I was the exact same way about a year ago, I would get restless if I didnt go at least 5 days a week but eventually I started plateauing and I talked to a strength coach at my gym and he turned me on to the 5x5 programs that most beginners use, worked like a charm.Hothi123 said:You shouldn't be doing abs that often, just like other muscles, they need time to repair and grow (which happens on rest days) so it would be more practical to work them out 2-3 times within a week and you'll see better resultssiddyp said:cardio everyday. COMTONDAJATT has a sick workout which I've always wanted to follow but I find myself going to the gym 5 times a week lol ...just can't stay away
you can still go to the gym on your rest day but just don't to excruciating workouts...(i.e: strength/resistance training) and stick to simple, yet sweet cardioCOMTONDAJATT said:dude I was the exact same way about a year ago, I would get restless if I didnt go at least 5 days a week but eventually I started plateauing and I talked to a strength coach at my gym and he turned me on to the 5x5 programs that most beginners use, worked like a charm.Hothi123 said:You shouldn't be doing abs that often, just like other muscles, they need time to repair and grow (which happens on rest days) so it would be more practical to work them out 2-3 times within a week and you'll see better resultssiddyp said:cardio everyday. Dude you have no idea how hard I have tried convincing people to listen to me when it comes to lifts in my family of Punjabi bicep trainers. They just don't realize that building a body with disproportionate parts is a bad idea.justAguy said:Wow. Compton YOU ARE THE FN MAN. seriously you're like my soul mate. You know everything. I used to powerlift too man, gym 3 times a week for less than an hour. I played football which kinda got me into the lifting scene kinda young (at like 14 15), but the coaches n the kids too were all idiots, thinking 5 hours in the gym every hour gets you huge (I know, 5 hours every hour is not possible), then I joined the Steroidology forum, n educated myself from there n learned things properly. By the age of 16 I was deadlifting 365, but then I just looked like a fat Mexican n needed to stop, went through that phase of wearing Metallica n Pantera shirts n having ass long hair n being huge, n then after injuring myself got out of it completely thank God.
Once i lose lots of weight I'm gonna start working out again, miss those days. Come to NY man stay with me!
No virsa guys post up my pictures they're embarassing !!

WHERES MY PROTEIN MAAA
You really don't need protein at all, it's all a huge myth, I have ZERO protein now days (aside from a table spoon of hemp seeds in a morning smoothie) and I still have 16 inch arms (and I haven't worked out in like 3 years).Billoo0 said:Waleed said:MAAA
WHERES MY PROTEIN MAAA
i've been using 'whey'.... any comments on whey protein? and what about the number of times one should take it (i.e: 1 scoop pre-workout, 1 scoop post work out, 1 scoop before bed?)
and for the record, i'm big but also a vegetarian so the only source of my dietary protein is from daal, tofu/soyabean, and my shakes...
koi nii mann the body changes, I've become a fat slob with college, I think I'm pretty much stuck this way forever (you know when uncles get married n reach uncle status, no matter how much tennis or badminton they play they're still gonna be fat, I think I'm at that point lmaooo). but yea ajaaaaa my bed is a magical place and will bless you for lifetimes, hurry !! which schools you apply tooo ?COMTONDAJATT said:Dude you have no idea how hard I have tried convincing people to listen to me when it comes to lifts in my family of Punjabi bicep trainers. 365 is beastly, I barely got to 300 for 3 reps before I hurt my back 4 months ago doing something stupid (lifting suitcases, ugh). I was probably close to 179 lbs bodyweight but since I haven't been cleared to lift for the past four months I lost around 10 pounds and have a round tidd nowIf I get into med school in NY I plan on sleeping on your couch, or in your bed, whatever you prefer.
