I just got the iphone 4 and since it uses a micro sim I heard I can get my regular SIM card cut down to fit the iphone.. now my question is will I still be able to use that same cut down sim card back on my BB9700?

no...but tmobile corp stores will give u a new sim card for free if need-be

ahh new sim = new number :(
New sim doesnt necessarily mean new number. you jus gotta tell them you need a new sim for the number you already have because ure sim is damaged.

i have an iphone 4...and the new micro sim actually still fits in my bold 9700...u just gotta position it right when u put it in...and no..new sim does not mean new number....each sim has their own "serial number" which is associated with a cell number....so ur sim can be switched to ur existing number with no problems

Yes it should work in ur bold 9000 as well...once again since the sim is smaller u just have to position it right when slipping it into the slot...and im wondering the same about India...I don't see why it wouldn't work if it's unlocked...you'd just have to find a micro sim in India OR u can take a regular sim and just got it down to size

I dont think india has jumped into the micro sim market yet, they barely released 3G when i was there in june. yes 3G network and a sim card itself are two diff things, but if its taking them this long to get 3G, it'll take some time before they release a phone with a micro sim. ure best bet would be to take a sim from india and cut it down to micro sim size. And if its unlocked it should definitely work.

Edit: (THIS IS ONLY A THEORY) If you know someone in england who can hook you up with a Vodafone microsim, that can also help. Vodafone UK has the iphone 4. And they also provide cellular service in india. So all you would need to do, is swap out the At&t sim for the vodafone sim.
