First off to Jashan, thanks for an amazing competition. The afterparty was awesome and we had a lot of fun.
-Comments were made from both sides; we all come from the same city and the sad part is we all used to be friends.
-The hatred has been going on for awhile and it has escalated over the past 3-4 months. Because no one from these teams has contacted me personally, we have no idea where the hatred arose from in the first place. So our only conclusion is that it may be from jealousy, even that makes no sense to us because PANJ still has so much to achieve.
But when;
-t-shirts are made,
-prank calls are continuously made, 10 at a time, 2 in the morning
-your doors are kicked in during competitions
-dholis are on ventrilo (btf chat) claiming to have our practice video and asking people in the chat room if they want it
-bbm groups are made just for the purpose of hating PANJ
-videos being posted on purpose after we have clearly stated not to
-people using clips of our videos as your display pictures on btf with no good intentions
We can only stay quiet for so long. I have personally sent facebook messages to the captains of these teams trying to call it truce, with no reply.
-There are many conversations and facebook pictures with comments which have not yet been posted. The ones that have been posted, we didn't even know existed.
-The captain of PCBCA (Jason) called me last week and a truce has been called and apologies were made.
-We thought we called a truce with a team at Jashan, but obviously that truce meant nothing based on these posts today.
-It would be greatly appreciated if the team's captains that have any issues would contact me directly, instead of people off other teams dholis included adding fuel to the fire.
-I don't know about any threatening comments that were made and by whom. Once again it would have been appreciated if someone had contacted me directly and let me know.
-PANJ is a team that is strictly dedicated to do bhangra and we keep out of other people's business. At one time, we were all friends and it sucks that now we can't even shake each other's hands.
-We have borrowed and lent out dancers, we have lent out vardiyan accessories, we have lent out props, we have made people's mixes, we have ran errands for teams, we have maaved people's pagan for them, we are known as "Bhangra 911" in our local community. So it surprises me when people say we have an ego.
PANJ has been around for three years and has never been a part of drama to this extent. It is with the newer teams and PANJ's recent accomplishments that this drama has arisen.
Overall, we get along with most teams. People that have met us and know us, are aware of PANJ's attitude. PANJ is friends with many teams on the East Coast, in Toronto and California. Hopefully we can establish that same relationship with others.
You cannot get along with everybody but a general sense of respect should be shown. Hopefully after today, any future issues will be brought to my attention directly.
