Noah was among the top 3 centers in the league in terms of PER before his plantar fasciitis kicked in and then averaged 15 and 13 down the stretch and into the playoffs. Also, I find it odd that you say he works "in the system" considering that Chicago hasn't really had a "system" since Skiles.Kush said:And lets be real. Lebron to Chicago? Apart from Derrick Rose theres no "allstars" on that team. Luo Deng, who would be coming in off the bench? since he shares the same position? Not to mention hm. and Noah? Noah works in the system but is FAR from an all star player (plus he was a gator).
Let him give more than a one season performance that was marked by major highs and lows, and then we can MAYBE call him a star (avged 6-7 per game for his first two seasons in, even when rose showed up and turned the point guard position upside down). He's a scrappy center who pulls alot of points by following his own shots strong and maintaining position under the basket (makings of a good center if he develops some consistency and strength. scrappy doesn't work as well as solid play). The ONE thing i will give to this guy is he can PASS! the guy has good court vision for a center. But he has a long way to go to be a STAR in my books, including controlling that mouth with the media.Hand of Godard said:Noah was among the top 3 centers in the league in terms of PER before his plantar fasciitis kicked in and then averaged 15 and 13 down the stretch and into the playoffs. If GarPaxDorf somehow land LBJ, Deng is:
a) moved in an S&T for either Bronnie himself or a second near-max FA, or
b) traded for a power forward under contract (Minnesota being a possible destination), or
c) kept and moved over to the 4 in most situations, rotating with James and Gibson depending on matchups on each side of the floor.
None of those situations is a dealbreaker in my book. In fact, the first one especially is something that could make a deal and get that third all-star (assuming Noah isn't) if one feels that is really required.
They could get john salmons back or pick up matt barnesCOMTONDAJATT said:^^I love the dude, the 60 minutes interview was gold.

Bhai, let me preface this by saying that the reason for my response to your original post was that you stated that he was i) far from being an ii) all-star (not a “star” as you now say, though perhaps you use the terms interchangeably) and that iii) this was a reason for James not to sign with the Bulls. I challenged the first two points by providing statistical evidence that showed Noah inching his way towards the top tier of current NBA centers.Kush said:Let him give more than a one season performance that was marked by major highs and lows, and then we can MAYBE call him a star (avged 6-7 per game for his first two seasons in, even when rose showed up and turned the point guard position upside down). Cleveland will not sign and trade lebron for deng, but thats my opinion.
