only way dallas can bring him is sign and trade and cavs wont entertain that thought unless lebron forces them. dirk and lebron would be vicious though.

And lets be real. Lebron to Chicago? Apart from Derrick Rose theres no "allstars" on that team. Luo Deng, who would be coming in off the bench? since he shares the same position? Not to mention hm. and Noah? Noah works in the system but is FAR from an all star player (plus he was a gator).
Noah was among the top 3 centers in the league in terms of PER before his plantar fasciitis kicked in and then averaged 15 and 13 down the stretch and into the playoffs. Also, I find it odd that you say he works "in the system" considering that Chicago hasn't really had a "system" since Skiles.

If GarPaxDorf somehow land LBJ, Deng is:

a) moved in an S&T for either Bronnie himself or a second near-max FA, or
b) traded for a power forward under contract (Minnesota being a possible destination), or
c) kept and moved over to the 4 in most situations, rotating with James and Gibson depending on matchups on each side of the floor.

None of those situations is a dealbreaker in my book. In fact, the first one especially is something that could make a deal and get that third all-star (assuming Noah isn't) if one feels that is really required.

^^Noah is a great post defender too. PER doesn't take into account defense so his value goes up a bit too. Plus he says awesome shit to the media and flirts with cheerleaders.

I hate the Clippers, let me just get that out of the way. But if you had to look at Miami vs Clips straight up, this is how i see it:

PG: BD > Arroyo (i know BD is getting old but when he's healthy he's nasty)
SG: Gordon <<<<< Wade
SF: Butler < Q
PF: Blake Griffin < Beasley, only because Blake hasn't played yet. Beasley has been ugly
C: Kaman > JO

Clips have a solid front court (if Griffin pans out as he's supposed to), and putting LBJ in immediately upgrades the 3 spot. You have a veteran PG used to running the ball since his GSW days, as well as a solid SG in Gordon. True, if Miami gets STAT or Boozer or Bosh they'll upgrade their front court, but I just can't see Bosh/STAT, LBJ, and Wade moving the ball around and getting easy buckets. It'd be amazing to watch those guys play on the same team though. LBJ would be ridiculous on the Mavs, that just wouldn't be fair with JKidd on there throwing him lobs every other play.

Let him give more than a one season performance that was marked by major highs and lows, and then we can MAYBE call him a star (avged 6-7 per game for his first two seasons in, even when rose showed up and turned the point guard position upside down). He's a scrappy center who pulls alot of points by following his own shots strong and maintaining position under the basket (makings of a good center if he develops some consistency and strength. scrappy doesn't work as well as solid play). The ONE thing i will give to this guy is he can PASS! the guy has good court vision for a center. But he has a long way to go to be a STAR in my books, including controlling that mouth with the media.

Cleveland will not sign and trade lebron for deng, but thats my opinion.

Bhai, let me preface this by saying that the reason for my response to your original post was that you stated that he was i) far from being an ii) all-star (not a “star” as you now say, though perhaps you use the terms interchangeably) and that iii) this was a reason for James not to sign with the Bulls. I challenged the first two points by providing statistical evidence that showed Noah inching his way towards the top tier of current NBA centers.

Now you suggest that this is not enough evidence to call him a “star”. Again, I repeat that I am unsure if you feel that “star” and “all-star” are synonymous. I’m not trying to be pedantic, but considering that I do distinguish between the two terms (the former having a more favourable, ahistorical connotation), I’d appreciate clarification before I say much further. Once I’m certain of what you meant to say, I’ll address the third point explicitly.

Just a few minor contentions with your latest post concerning Noah -->

I don’t believe his season oscillated between major highs and lows (that describes Tyrus Thomas); if anything, he was probably our most consistent player over the course of the season when factoring in Rose’s dismal start.

His lower PPG average for his first two seasons can be attributed to the fewer minutes per game (and resulting number of FGA and FTA) he saw.

The arrival of Rose coinciding with a supposed plateau of Noah’s offensive numbers would be a concern if their respective skillsets were closer to Stockton and Malone than mini-Lebron and Walton, and if the Bulls actually had a halfcourt offense to speak of during the past two years. Since neither is true, I don’t see how this is a knock on Noah.

Oh, and I agree that it’s unlikely that the Cavs will take back Deng’s contract but it’s a hope. :)

Miami is gonna be in cap hell with 3 max contracts. They have to fill out the roster with vet minimums and rookie contracts then. Plus Bosh is an injury risk. Even then how the hell will you be able to maximize the talents of 3 players, as well as getting the rest of the team involved. It makes much more sense to get Amare or Bosh as pick and roll buddies for D-Wade and fill it out with role players. 3 Alpha dogs just won't work.
