There are millions of ways to speculate as to where he'll end up. Lets look at it simply though:

1) Bulls - He could possibly end up in Chicago merely for the reason that he's still close to Akron, his hometown. Another possible reason is that Jordan has been his idol and im sure he would love to play for the same team. However, as for a supporting cast, the bulls have some great players but the problem is that they are all young. Some would argue they are too young. Derrick Rose is a great leader and he is the reason the Bulls made the playoffs this year. If Lebron goes to Chicago the entire dynamic of the team is going to change and not necessarily for the better. Clashing egos is never a good thing.

2) Nets - The Nets lack leadership, which is something Lebron can easily provide. The fact that they have a new billionaire owner is completely irrelevant because the team can only sign players to contracts within the salary cap. I believe that the nets only have enough space to sign one maximum contract player, which in this case would be Lebron. So that would mean that the Nets would not be able to provide him with an All Star caliber free agent. My guess would be that if he were willing to actually join the team, the only person who could convince him to do so would be Jay-Z, part owner of the team.

3) Knicks - The Knicks have been waiting for this day probably longer than any other team in the league. There are MANY people out there claiming that the Knicks don't have enough money or talent to provide Lebron with a Championship caliber team, but the Knicks are the only team in the running that has the capability to sign 2 maximum contract players and still remain under the salary cap. As for the talent, the Knicks are very similar to Nets in that they lack leadership. This past year they dumped a bunch of players (and their contracts) and picked up Tracy McGrady (who seems to be just a presence in the locker room). Being that it is New York, Lebron has access to the greatest level of exposure. With the prospect of being able to sign a second free agent (Amare, Bosh, Joe Johnson, or D-Wade, and rumors of Tony Parker wanting to play in NY), the Knicks have a lot to offer.

4) Cavs - Will he resign with the Cavs? Maybe. Being that he's basically playing in his hometown is something that is going to be important to him. But will this team get him a championship? No. They dont have enough money to try and woo one of the aforementioned free agents. Also, it seemed like he gave up in that last game against Boston...not sure what that means though.

5) Clippers - Never going to happen....not much else to say about that.

Lebron loves drama and he's going to play this out until the very end. He loves the media attention. This summer, he could quite possibly take over the Dos Equis commercials as the Most Interesting Man in the World

Bhai, the Bulls are the most passive (except for Noah, who is just loud as opposed to arrogant) team in the league. Clashing egos is the last thing we have to worry about.

Theres a rumor floating around that LBJ found out after Game 4 that his mom was hooking up with Delonte West. No, I cant make this up, but it sure as hell explains the giant goose egg he laid in Game 5. But then after game 6 i saw him walk off the court and give his mom a kiss, so who knows whats going down

the someone slept with mom/wife rumor is a tradition in sports. they have used it for cal ripken, jordan, recently scottie reynolds and now lebron. i think lebron laid an egg because celtic defense cut off all lanes to the basket and lebron thought his jump shot could save him.

I've been reading on some jibber jabber that LBJ to the LakeShow makes sense, especially if we do a sign-and-trade involving Gasol or Bynum, + 1 more player. Supposedly doing a sign/trade makes sense for LBJ, as that ups his raise % to 10.5%, whereas if he went in as a free agent he'd be eligible for only 8%. Buss needs to fill seats in Staples, and having Kobe + LBJ for 2-3 years (although Kobe would be on the decline) would be ridiculous. Its not out of the realm of possibility!

if we win this year again i doubt they would so something so drastic. pau is the perfect complementary superstar for kobe, as awesome as lebron is i dont know if i would mess with chemistry like that. i would have been open to the idea if we didnt sign kobe to an extension, then it would have made sense to let kobe go and bring lebron in but i dont know how its gonna work now.

i would be totally down to trade bynum and odom and draft picks for a signed and traded lebron. fat chance of it ever happening though, i cant imagine lebron or kobe willing to share alpha dogness on a team.

Gonna have to disagree with your last statment there Imran... that is most DEFINITELY well out of the realm of possibility. A) kobe and lebron will NEVER EVER play on the same team. maybe in a few years when kobe's washed out, but not with two players playing some of the best basketball of their lives. It is 400x more likely that wade and lebron would play together and even THAT is a stretch in my opinion.

id have to agree...kobe n lebron will never play together...theres a better chance tht wade n lebron play together...wade n lebron r in the same situation, they carry their teams on there back and dont have a supporting cast....but the most likely scenario is tht lebron and bosh play together....theres no way bosh stays in toronto

I dont see Wade and LBJ playing together Kush, mainly because they both define alphadog to a T. Wade and LBJ lead the league in possession per point, and although Wade is sick as a "free safety" on the perimeter when he has another superstar back there, I can see LBJ and Kobe getting along better. Wade needs the ball in his hands, and of course so does LBJ. Kobe can have nights where he jacks it up 10x, or he can have a night like last night where he goes aggro and drops 40. I just want another star in LA haha

chicago might not be a good idea for him....people are gona expect him to be the successor to jordan.....and i just dont think lebron has the willpower in him to be a winner on multiple levels...
hell, i wouldnt be surprised if he took malone/barkeley's spot as the best player never to win a championship

Fair enough but i think that wade and lebron both hold the ball that much mroe becuase theres NOONE else you can trust on their squads with it. Put pao with wade, wades touches and possession time will fall. Same with lebron. Notice in this last series, Lebron was VERY READY to give the ball away, something that actually spawned a couple of news articles. I think lebron needs alot of touches yes, but he could just as quickly play the team game. Just give him a team. Same with wade. Wade will make things happen for others, not only himself. I think more than anythign these are two players that are FORCED to be selfish, and thus increase their possession time.

Kobe only steps down when he sees mismatch/advantage else where. and when pao was shitting all over amare, not even jordan would have taken control. Just let the big man do his thing.

I cant find the exact numbers but D-Wade and Lebron both have the highest usage rates in the NBA. Putting them together is not going to be perfect synergy and it will result in someone getting shortchanged when they shouldn't. Then you gotta spread the ball around to the other 3 players on the court. Even when Shaq and Kobe dominated the ball the other players had enough usage because of triangle but I don't know of anything with two elite players in another system being able to elevate their teams.

Thats the trick. This hasn't ever had to happen and who's to say it wouldn't work? Again, i DON'T think its going to happen but its amazing to speculate... In addition, youre nto looking at just the two. We have 2 max contract signings. 1 will obviously go to Wade. 2 could go to lebron, bosh, boozer, stoudamire, any of the three. In addition, you're looking at a signing of an additional player just above the mid level exception (Ray Allen, Joe Johnson, etc). The heat SERIOUSLY have the most money, more than the knicks, to spend this summer, before you think about resigning wade. In addition, we have a mid 1st round pick, which would likely go in a trade along with beasley, cook, chalmers (though i'm hoping beasley) to any team to sign yet ANOTHER player. HOpefully someone strong to the point or ANOTHER big man, solid center like Okafor to put stoudamire/bosh in their natural position at 4.

Wishful thinking. Regardless, 2011 my miami heat will be a team to watch for. Eastern conference finals appearance guaranteed from me :)

And lets be real. Lebron to Chicago? Apart from Derrick Rose theres no "allstars" on that team. Luo Deng, who would be coming in off the bench? since he shares the same position? Not to mention hm. and Noah? Noah works in the system but is FAR from an all star player (plus he was a gator).

New york offers the return of David Lee, and Lebron and possibly chris bosh. This is the real threat and probably the largest attraction for Lebron. But why play with david lee and Bosh when you can play with dwayne wade and bosh/stoudamire. This is of course holding to the idea that they would work as a TEAM, which i truly believe.

Nets? please.

any other real contenders? Other than the "clippers" which just makes me L O L. No chance guys, lebrons not coming west to play in the subpar team cursed and in kobe's shadow.
