Not sure how many are familiar with his music. He is a folk, Sufi singer as well as a writer and all around promoter of Punjabi and Sufi culture. You guys will recognize these boliyan he does I am sure

My cousin just met him a few days ago at the Jaipur Lit Festival and he said that he performed John Lennon's Imagine with couplets of Bulleh Shah, Rumi and Kabir sprinkled in. Will post it when I get the audio copy.

Excellent folk content, but IMO, his 'ucchiyaN lammiyaN' rendition was all over the place. I like the idea of using strings like guitar and Sarod in Punjabi folk singing, but you need excellent coordination which this particular rendition lacked

'Kaaleya Harnaa' -- realy unique. I liked the plain delivery style of his though
