Well recently my mum has been annoying me by getting on my Mac and going on Facebook and messing up everything on it.
I was wondering if there was a way I could a thing on Safari so when I go on Facebook it asks for a password to go on the site.
Do you get what I mean?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Pritpal.

Why aren't you using Firefox? ahaha
but if you're for Safari go to Edit -> Preferences -> AutoFill Tab and Uncheck the User Name and Passwords Box or click on Edit beside the User Name and Passwords and delete Facebook from the list. :)

Noo. What I want is so before my mum goes onto Facebook I want a little box to pop up asking for a password so she can access the site.

Just out of curiousity, why are you trying to prevent your mom from using facebook?

If you do what Underground Gabroo and JasBains stated, when you sign go to www.facebook.com, you'll have to type in your e-mail address and password manually. So unless your mom knows your password (which you can easily change), I am not sure why you would need an additional "password box."

Well,

if you're trying to hide your website history, just go to preferences, clear it up, and choose to have your browser not save your history...drawback is that you'll have to type out each website's address every time you want to access it...

right?

Actually, I have a similar set-up for all my passwords for Firefox.

The password manager on FF allows you to set a password to access saved passwords. Check it out.

Every time I go on Facebook, I get a pop-up that asks for the overall password. If correct, it auto-fills in everything for me.

Basically, she's not allowed on the Mac.
She just uses it for Facebook and me and my dad need something so it stops her from going on it on the Mac.

Just password protect the screen saver...

If someone made a reality tv show about Pritpal - I'd invest in it. You should do a video blog on youtube about your life, I'll watch it. I'm very serious.
