NEW AND IMPROVED Media Center

Today, we brought online a new and improved Media Center, a one-stop-shop (free) for all the latest team mixes and media. A fully sortable, browsable interface lets you see the latest additions to BTF and to easily get the latest mixes by the bhangra community's DJs.


I'll be brief-- just go check it out! There's a new link in the menu above: "Media Center". Huge thanks go to Swi for re-coding it.

I really hope you all enjoy the Media Center. It was on my plate of stuff and took a backseat to CTL and other things for a while. I was downloading at close to 3 mbps earlier so it should be an awesome resource.

The only feature missing right now is the ability to search. In the end I decided to get it released with a good cache system built in rather than deal with the performance and security issues involved in the search. I know it's an immensely useful feature and I promise to get it out as soon as I can but I wanted to get at least some functionality out first

Saleem, my only concern is bandwidth usage. How much is BTF currently using and what are the limitations provided by the host? I'm sure the limit is quite large because I'd imagine we already use a lot as it is. Also, I'm sure with the implementation of this new media center, you can expect that number to rise significantly.

A proper search function will be the greatest things EVER. lol. I'm sure that will be a bit more resource intensive (along with more complex to code/implement), so we definitely understand you taking your time with it.
