NEW FEATURE: Competitions and Teams Listings (CTL)

I'm really proud to announce a great new section to BhangraTeamsForum.com -- the Competition and Teams Listing (CTL). This is a commonly-requested feature and I am sure it will really help with a lot of common questions we see from many members.


If you haven't heard what it does, the CTL is exactly that -- a listing of competitions and teams. Some pieces of information you can get in just a click or two:


- What competitions are coming up? Who is competing there?
- What competitions recently occurred?
- Who placed at those competitions? Who else competed?
- General information on a Team or Competition


You'll see a new link in the Menu above:

And if you click it you'll see a snapshot of important information: upcoming competitions, and recent postings:

Huge shoutout to Swi for putting this together. He will need your feedback and perhaps even help with information gathering (he's had a few people volunteering for this so far-- thanks goes out to them too).

Hi everyone, I hope that you find this feature useful moving forward. As we add information, the value of having a centrally located database of bhangra information increases.

Some notes:
-the further info section for both comps and teams is a chance for the respective groups to post w/e they want. Logo, flyer, details, etc

-there is builtin capability to post links for teammembers to their btf profile. I'm not sure how I want to handle thoss but for now I guess I'll just keep the captain or main btf contact in that value

-you'll notice zipcode in the teams section, you'll be able to search for nearest
teams by zipcode ( once I get more zipcodes entered)


Finally please understand that it's very much a work in progress and I am definitely looking to improve it. the overriding goal is to make it easier for teams to find competitions to apply to ( we'll be posting links to reg packets), and for people see past resutls....features I think we've all been hoping for

if you have suggestions or information, please use the "feedback form" on the top right of the page so saleem and i don't get swamped with pm and emails. Saleem and I are only ones with access to update it so it'll take some time, please be patient
