Brodeur got his ass lit up the the considerably weaker U.S. team, you won't see people throwing out statements like, "Canada is showing their lack in world class goal tending"...

No attack on you bro, but please explain why he is 2nd best. I follow the east much more than the west, but it seems like he has an amazing team around him in SJ which kind of pads his stats. His only true championship was with Russia at the world championships in 08.

He's 3rd in save percentage... 5th in Goals against...2nd in wins... He was a Vezina finalist two year ago and led the league with 46 wins... This is a down year for him and he's still the only goalie that is consistently in the top 5 in each major statistic for goalies...He got lit up tonight, but trust me, he is definitely a world class goalie... The Sharks are a goalie producing machine, Toskala, Kiprusoff and Nabby...

there is no questioning his stats and accomplishments, but do you really think he'd put up the same numbers on a team like buffalo or NJ who doesn't have as high powered of an offense, but a team that relies on its defense (goalie)? From what I've seen (again an eastern conference perspective) he's kinda like Osgood. Very Very good and consistent but is also padded by an excellent set of forwards and defensemen.

Bro I'm not an idiotic fan... If I was to put my money on a team, it would have been on Canada... The U.S. straight embarrassed Canada in game one and almost did it again in the medal game... For a team that wasn't even supposed to play for a medal, I'm pretty damn proud of Team U.S.A... For a team that was supposed to kick everyones ass on it's way to the gold medal, Canada played shitty hockey and was very fortunate to win it all...
