This was sad stuff hearin about this yesterday, but that was word of mouth, so i didnt get very many details.

Its sad man, you got all these elderly babey, who back in india walked to their respective keth's, sat in the pindh's saath, only to come here and be mistaken for something they weren't. The few "terrorists" have ruined lives everywhere, Gorey, punjabi's, and most importantly putting a bad name towards the muslim brothers and sisters. It needs to stop, but the question remains, where and when?

Hate Comes to Orange County

This is the culture in America right now. The racist tea party and the right want to alienate anyone who is not like them and they don't give a damn if they destory families and communities along the way.

I don't understand anti-americanism when this b.s. happens when xenophobia is universal, whether it be in Quebec, Elk Grove, or Ayodhya...the list goes on. I have to say this is very saddening and unfortunate, especially because Elk Grove/Sacramento is so multicultural and diverse.

Sure xenophobia is universal, but last I checked, the only country (outside of India) where innocent Sikhs have been murdered in cold blood simply because of their appearance and for being mistaken as terrorists, is the US. First Balbir Singh Sodhi in Arizona. Now these 2 in California. Bringing this up doesn't make me anti-american. Quite the contrary actually. I am simply stating a fact. The real issue isn't even xenophobia. It's Islamaphobia and our current political and media culture which perpetuates it.

Sadly it isnt only in America....Indians..including a sikh were attacked in Australia a few years back..

It is pure ignorance. A lot of minority groups get attacked throughout the world. I am a Kashmiri and my family has been kicked out from Kashmir for 21 years. It is unfortunate and it is sad that this happened in the "land of the free," but it happens everywhere regardless of how supreme the country is.

there is a clear and obvious distinction between being attacked and murder. sikhs have been the victims of attacks all over the world because of ignorance and racism. spain, england, canada, australia - you name it. i personally know a ton of sikhs who have been attacked in america. that's not the point. my point was that in America it has been taken to the next level and you've seen outright murder of innocent Sikhs because they look like "terrorists". its sad and pathetic
