so apparently this is the story behind him (this comment has been repeatedly posted by a ton of different people all over his pictures)

Let me address some things to everyone defending Brandon Cyrus, and I WILL spam this, until you ignorant fan girls get it through your heads.
[/size]
1.) WE DID NOT LIKE HIS PAGE, NOR CAN WE BLOCK IT! It spams our newsfeed no matter what! The logic
also works both ways. If you don't like what WE'RE saying, why don't YOU, block, US?

2.) We're not jealous because he's hot or gets more girls or anything. If that were the case, we'd spam Brad Pitt or someone else. Besides, quality, not quantity.

3.) He steals pictures that you can find after 5 seconds of searching on Tumblr.

4.) He exploits the sick and such, just to get likes on Facebook.

5.) He has a girlfriend, yet posts a status asking 330,000 girls to text him. After making a status that says "In a relation means back off". Which will add to number 6 and 7.

6.) He has a girlfriend, yet sells bracelets that say "Brandon Cyrus, be my boyfriend ♥"

7.) In a relationship means back off? No. It means in a relationship. You're telling these girls it's okay to shut out the outside world, which is the WORST thing for a relationship.

8.) He posts that every girl is beautiful, but then says anyone that messages him will get a rating 1-10.

9.) He posts that all girls are beautiful, then posts a picture of a dolphin calling a bigger sized girl a whale. All girls are beautiful, unless they're big apparently!

10.) He said "I'll only text the cute ones" after asking all these girls for their numbers.

11.) Most of you won't read this due to ignorance.

12.) Brandon Cyrus will probably delete this comment

Anyway he's just another of the 1923112392183098 pages that are seeking to turn FB into tumblr. smfh.

Get rid of Facebook! that shit is so pointless, what ever happened to calling your buddies and findin out how they're doin? or going over and chillin rather then having a facebook conversation and liking each others photos. What ever happened to going outside??? I swear some people hardly get off facebook, when I use to have it I'd see them online every time I logged in, that shit can't be healthy for you. Even twitter, it's changing the way people talk, that whole hashtag shit is whack. You spend all this time and money getting educated in a decent school system only to have it runned down by the social media culture. I've heard people use the word LOL and hashtag in real life, that's so depressing to hear.

BTF I like, even though there's tons of drama here, I still feel like a human being surfing through this website. On Facebook, everyone worries too much about how their picture looks and how they should edit it to make it look better or what they typed and how they typed it so that they can give give a certain impression in the online community. Facebook spawned a generation that is more worried about how they are perceived online rather then the important stuff going out there in the real world. Now a lot of people are going to say Facebook creates awareness, true I guess but from what I've seen the only awareness Facebook creates is that "like" button, it ain't going to do shit beyond that for 99% of the issues going on.

My biggest pet peeve of Facebook is that it shows too much information about a person, too many people are wreckless with this website. For example, some people update their statuses daily and they update it with random useless information in hopes to get more likes, the first thing I think when it pops up on my feed is that this individual is wierd. He/She is desperate for attention and they'll say and do anything to get it. Inside you start feeling bad for this person or he/she is a going through some hard times and is submerging themselves into this virtual world to run away from those problems. That kinda shit will hurt your social networking more then help it. But even if that person is completely normal and is just updating the rest of us on whats going on in their life, its mad annoying when you dont know them on a personal level. I don't care how many times you've gone to the gym this week or how many times you plan on picking your ass today.

But maybe its just me. I seem to get all the social satisfaction I need in real life, I'm sure all of you can too :) eff facebook!

I completely agree, I only go on Facebook if I need to talk to someone whose number I don't have.

I deactivated my Facebook in March and its been great!

Twitter in my opinion is only useful if a person is famous or if its promoting a brand/company.

No one infuriates me more than this kid. I generally tend not to hate anyone, but for some reason this little bitch deserves to get hit. Thoughts?

https://www.facebook.com/BrandonCyrusOfficial
What's so bad about him? Maybe I'm missing something, but he's just re-posting a bunch of images from the internetz and pretending to be sympathetic to teenage girl problems to gain likes. As it is, half of facebook already does the former and plenty of brands/youtube celebrities/Facebook pages try to sell their "products" for likes as well. Yeah, he may throw in the random cancer patient photo for likes or he may be publicizing it because he finds it inspiring. It's his page, no one is forcing anyone to read it or like it. But maybe I'm missing something...

Aside from posting random pictures of abused girls and cancer patients I think the thing that infuriates me is the hypocrisy. He says things like "all girls are beautiful" or some shit like that but then posts a picture of a dolphin calling a overweight girl a whale. Additionally, he would say things like "against suicide" or some shit like that but then post a picture of a noose and say I brought you your necklace, try it on.

Teenage girls are just as bipolar. He caters to them. It may seem like he's being hypocritical but that's just how he hooks his fans. Telling girls that they're pretty but then taking it away so that they want that approval again.

And come on bro, the petition reeks of pathetic-ness. Accusing him of creating revenue by generating interest and likes through what ever means possible? Do you seriously consider that such a foul offense? "We would like to have his IP banned from the website in order to prevent the exploitation of more children, the only thing he holds on to that betters his self-image." Exploitation of children? LOLOLOL

Honorable mentions for quotes from the petition on why his Facebook should be removed:

"He is completely aware that he is attractive (to some people) and he uses that also as his advantage to gain likes." Let's also ban every other attractive female on Facebook.

"He also posts stupid photos and captions it, "Like if you agree!" o "like if you do this" And the photo is something that everyone does, like breathing or brushing your teeth or something shitty like that. " God forbid if you do that thing and you don't like it.

"This douchebag needs to die." How ironic that you suggest violence.

My facebook feed is occasionally littered with photos of cute puppies, crippled soldiers, happy cancer patients and pseudo-social-activist causes. There's nothing different here and he's not doing any real harm.

You know what pisses me off? The "Turban"/"anti-American Muslim" facebook groups that are ignorant and promoting hate, bigotry and ACTION against cultural/religious/ethnic groups. Little teenage boy being stupid to get facebook likes? Not so much.

I might have misread your post but the petition isn't mine I just found it, and yeah, a lot of the reasons are ridiculous the one that I agree with is the utilizing cancer patients/abuse victims to generate likes and traffic to his page which in turn generates him revenue.

The "Turban"/"anti-American Muslim" facebook groups that are ignorant and promoting hate, bigotry and ACTION against cultural/religious/ethnic groups <--- Yes I agree this is much more important than some teenager.

Like I said, 2AM rambling, I just find him annoying tis all.

Furthermore, what he could be doing with his massive fan base is to promote charities and causes instead of "Like if you think she is beautiful" so he can generate some money. The one thing I give him credit for is going with a working business model and exploiting it.

Oh Jordan, now you know how I feel when I read YOUR posts.

Jokes ;-P

I tend to have to agree with Kinnell. He's not technically doing anything wrong.. and, for all we know, maybe he hasn't done anything with this yet because he's too young to think to that extent (because we all know that "18" really means 12... maybe 13). My little cousins do things like this all the time. "Like for a like"/"Like if think he/she/I'm pretty"... yada yada. Only difference is while I could care less about this Brandon Cyrus character, if some dumb boy "likes" my cousins' pictures and tries anything funny-guess who's paying a visit to his house to have a nice little chit chat with his parents?

Every Lenten season, Catholics are asked to give something up-coffee, soda, cigarettes, all examples. I give up Facebook-it's my thing. And when those 40-47 (depending on how exactly you "do" Lent) days are up, I wind up coming back-but I learn there are certain things you share, certain things you don't share, and never take this thing seriously. I share a few photos with friends/family/NYC monuments, I video chat with my cousins and my nephews (we talk every day, but for those times when I can't visit-I will take seeing their cute little chunky faces on a computer screen). Facebook never subsitutes social interaction for me-it enhances relationships I already have (and that's what it's supposed to do).

So TRUE!! I think that's an issue especially for our future children to come - everything is so laid back and times have def. changed.

I agree w/you Harman!
