After reading this thread, one thing I've realized is that BTFers need to stay on topic with the thread...another thread should be made about discussing if a team sucks or just needs work or is the bomb etc and how to go about saying it with encouragement (and also if you have a problem with someone's post PM them or talk to them b/c as soon as you say something publicly everyone will start to give their input and the topic will go to that and not to the original topic). Honestly, like someone mentioned if a team member from this team came and saw this thread, not only would they be discouraged but they would think that BTF is more about proving someone wrong rather than giving personal opinions on the performance...This thread went from critiquing the performance to critiquing the way the critique was said and the team still has not received and criticism hahaha...I have followed BTF for a while and this is a re-emerging pattern...this is just my opinion and i don't want to cause any drama in this thread...
OK man. Just chill. It really wasn't that big of a deal. People get drunk, myself included, and do stupid things. No one on my team was at fault (only one person from TF was in that room) and I had fun with team JATT. Just another drunk story for the books. OK I gotta be honest-and I'll post this on both topics just to be an asshole. Are you people really that bored? Shouldn't you be working, or taking summer classes, or at least being moderately useful to society in some way?
BTF wasn't created so people can bash new teams and new dancers. It was created as a resource to help others and stay in touch with friends. Bottom line-be useful and offer criticism other than "you suck" (I'm getting a flashback of deja vu here). Otherwise you're just being useless (which is most of you on here). We all started off the same-no one was a start straight outta the gate (and if you think that you did-than someone lied to you!).

but in all honesty, newcomers do get criticized more for the fact that they still have to "prove themselves". and it doesn't really serve a point with the video you're referencing because take sgpd going live at avap. they were newcomers to going live and they, i think, got chewed out by some people for their style, execution and what not with going live.
the strong team will be able to weed out all the BS criticism.

It wasn't my initial thread. I had replied pointing out that I DISAGREED with the OP's decision to label a new team doing their own thang as a bad attempt at Bhangra. I'm not sure whether you knowing it was something I would say is a good thing or a bad thing.Kanvar said:
I'm glad there are more people here that agree with me, but I do believe a few of the replies were sarcastic in nature. As I said previously, I did dances like this back in high school and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to be bashed online by college kids based on their own rubric when I didn't even ask for their critique in the first place.
And I apologize for the Off-Topic comments between Sakoon/Myself. As I pointed out, I do believe bringing up off-topic drunk stories randomly on BTF is quite weird.
