Hey BTFers,

Normally, people associate a kind of cut-throat attitude between bhangra teams, but every now and then you run across acts of kindness, and with it being close to the holidays, we on Rangla Punjab felt especially compelled to recognize Ehna Sona Punjab Nachda (ESPN) for their generosity. We ran into some issues with our vardiyaan this week that would have led us to drop out of DDA, but ESPN answered our call and allowed us to borrow their vardiyaan for DDA. On behalf of all of us on Rangla Punjab, we'd like to thank you for letting us use your fits and helping avert a team's worst nightmare.

If any other teams have been in our spot, or know where we are coming from, share your story and let's acknowledge those teams who's generosity usually goes unheard of.

Happy Holidays,

Rangla Punjab

A recognition thread? How sweet. I'm sure you guys would have done the same for us!

I'll be cheering from the front row; handle it.

Merry Christmas.

Props to ESPN! Good luck RP!!

For AEG, we'd have to thank NJ for letting us borrow their saaps at nearly every comp where we've both competed. Can't thank you guys enough.

Also, I remember Cornell lending us phummans (that's probably spelled wrong) at Boston 2009. Thanks a lot guys!

Any other team, I really don't remember (old age) but thanks!!

That was very generous of ESPN to let RP borrow their outfits last minute. As long as the outfits come back in one peace it should be fine lol. Wish the best to ESPN for upcoming competitions and good luck to RP this weekend at DDA.

haha don't worry bout that...i know how much it sucks when people don't respect your generosity and property. i got screwed over once when a team we lent our fits to returned them in a trash bag and multiple items missing. sooooo jaloose.

Yeah I agree with you. If a team borrows outfits or any other materials from another team they should respect that and return everything the way they got it.

This is a great thread! Haha, so much love for the first time in a while on BTF. Joe man, good luck with your team in the city, and no need for thanks for such a simple thing!

That being said, after VIBC in 2009, we drove back to Seattle from Vancouver but missed our flight back to Ithaca. That same night, VCU's flight got canceled and they'd been offered hotel rooms to stay in. They invited us to their hotel and cleared out a room for us and doubled up themselves. Really felt the love guys, always appreciated that.
