1. Star Wars is amazing, and so is LOTOR
2. Im sure a large chunk of america watched the original movies when they came out and dressed up for them.(Star Wars).

Also, these movies didnt really fit a genre as they were great movies with storylines and ideas that went way beyond their genre and into things that affected us as human beings.

Holy crap, I didn't even read any of this after I posted LOL I think all you Star Wars fans need to get yo panties out of a bunch, I've seen all of the the Star Wars movies I grew up watching them bc my dad loves them, I've also seen Star Trek (and yes I know theres a differences, so all you trekkie's don't shoot me) and I AM just NOT a fan. That's my personal oppinion. The chicks comment was more directed towards Gavin the pimp but take it as you please I really don't care. I will however admit I do like LOTR!!

I'm a big starwars fan...but how is it that the Godfather was not mentioned in terms of being one of the greatest trilogies ever? Don't even say, oh it's cuz the third one sucked...well it finished the story! It def. was not as good as the first two, but still a classic.

Also, I don't care what anyone says, ROCKY (1-6) = Amazing...you will want to go to Philadelphia just because of those movies and that character.

all of these movies are amazing - besides storyline, plot, visual effects...they also revolutionized cinematography (star wars is probably the most revolutionary movie when it first came out)...no one saw stunts and special effects like star wars in the 1970s (if that's when it came out).

LOL. yeah Rocky IV in Siberia was tight, but I gota say Rocky II takes the cake. the fight in IV against Drago was a little too far fetched, the amount of times Balboa was knocked down it would def would have been a TKO by then

outfit doesn't really work well for guys with long hair

AND...Godfather 1 was great, 2 wasn't as good though. I felt i cared more for the characters in the first one, the setting change just didn't do it for me.

AND ...i'm a huge fan of rocky movies. HUGE. I think i've seen rocky iv about hm....20 times just this year. i tend to watch that movie over and over. i ignore rocky 5, but rocky balboa wasn't bad (especially the internal monologue during his fight). rocky 2 was baller though, although it wasn't the eye of the tiger like rocky 3.
