This crazy bitch thanks God for 911.

It's quite an insane video. (It's a bit old, but its crazy that there are people out there who think like her) There's another Fox Interview with her too which shows more of her lunacy. You may need to forward a bit to the actual interview.

JEEEZ.

favorite part was when she called her a BIMBO...

This is quite disgusting though...folks like those, as well as evangelicals, fundamentalists, I just pretend they don't exist because they're nuts.

Im happy news anchors are voicing to like that, now if only they would voice on other things also such as the terrible war in Gaza.

Well...the anchor woman's point is valid. The Gospel of Jesus says "Pray for those who have trespassed against you and forgive them. If you do not do that what fruit will you bear for only praying for the good?" Meaning, no matter how much hatred you have don't attack someone! And as for the 911 part she should just burry her head in a bucket full of hot tar. Yeah, she doesn't deserve to live in America. senseless bandari.

He would likely cut off the person's mic and start beating his chest and grunt. You know, go at it like a gorilla.

lmao, so true.

but yea i cant believe that the psycho lady has the nerve to say some of the shit she did. Its disturbing to think that there are people (in large numbers) that are as closed minded as her. Its just appaling.

The anchorwoman definitely got worked up over it, but I thought she'd explode at anytime, but she didn't which was good. And yeah, I agree with all the testosterone above, she's hott when she's mad.

Here's one more:

I agree-the anchorwoman's pretty sexy ;)

And this woman really makes me want to vomit. Her actions and words are blatant disregard and disrespect for the God she claims to worship. "God hates fags." Hmm, I don't remember reading that in the Bible.

Here's what I believe. I believe that this woman is proof that some people are only alive because it is illegal (and technically immoral-though I'm starting to think otherwise) to kill them.

Can I get an amen?

Yes this is the Westboro Baptist Church, they are probably the most offensive of pseudo-religious cults in the US. They protest at US servicemen's funerals and anywhere else they can get airtime.

I disagree. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions no matter how sickly they may be. It's supposedly the American way. The error in her judgment is that she preaches against soldiers who fight for her right to speak her mind. Think of her as a retarded human being that does not see the fallacy in her logic or thinking.

Now, would you kill someone who is retarded? No you would not. If Roper (crazy bitch) committed murder in the name of God, I'm pretty sure she''d get away with the mental disability clause. The thing is, I honestly do think she is mentally ill and able to manipulate those around her into believing her crazyness.

Sorry campy, but she's committed no real crime other than verbally abusing those around her. She does not deserve to die and neither does anyone whose only crime is to talk a lot of nasty ass shit.

I definitely agree Kinnell, the fact that this is an extreme case of freedom of speech does not in any way diminish the fact that we tolerate it. I mean this woman is on FOX/CNN/etc. In 90% of the countries in the world they'd be dead, or their house would be torched. I take serious pride in that.

I am sad however, because the real tragedy is that they CONTINUE to get media attention. It's one thing to do an article, it's completely another to validate their views by putting them in a prime interview. You want them to go away?

ignore ignore ignore. They feed off of our anger, and build bonds from our indignation. Pay them no heed and suddenly they don't have a rallying force of 'morality'.

Kinnell... dude... I was kidding. I meant that statement to have a "laugh factor" in there, and I guess Akhil was the only one who got it.

But the topic itself brings up a few very good questions. The first is how exactly do you define the words "mentally ill"? The term itself is very broad. Most of us don't have advanced psych degrees, thus we can't make the statement-for sure-that this woman is in fact mentally ill, much less even define the term. That and, to be frank, we don't know this woman's life. We just know her in front of the cameras, and her protesting at fallen soldiers' funerals (again, in front of the cameras). Her statements and actions don't necessarily mean she's mentally ill, or "retarded" by any means. Anyone who has an advanced psych degree, please enlighten me on your thoughts. I'm really interested to hear what you have say :)

The second is where does her freedom of speech end? I'm sure we've all heard of the statement, in one form or another, that "One's freedom ends where another's rights begin." Yes, she does have freedom of speech-but does that freedom of speech overtake these families' right to mourn the death of their loved one(s)? The "no protesting within 500 yards of a funeral procession" law might be valid in that state, but I'm sure that law isn't passed in others. The police, as I'm also sure the family itself, was literally driving right through the protesters. That's absolutely appalling! No one deserves such treatment at such a vulnerable time in their lives, and quite frankly I don't believe that any one has the right to treat others in such a manner. If I'm wrong, I'd LOVE to protest right outside of this woman's funeral procession (joking!!)

Lastly, how "mentally ill" does one have to be to avoid criminal charges? Anyone who took some form of criminology-please I'd love to hear from you too! I can guarantee everyone on this forum this much-even if one is determined to be "mentally ill" in court, you'd be incredibly mistaken if you believe that any court in these United States would just let that person go to commit said acts again. He/She would be mandated to undergo several hours of psychological treatment at an institution, where one would also have to reside, before being released. Maybe/Hopefully people who actually know what they're doing would be able to enlighten her with the errors in her way. Otherwise she'll just be back at it again.

I don't know what else to write.

Well, I've watched enough Law and Order to think that mentally ill is not being able to tell the difference between right and wrong. If she honestly believes what she is doing is right and if it is wrong, then by law standards, she is mentally ill. However, she has done nothing wrong but express her horrendous views. If she attacked a soldier and said God made her do it and she had no remorse and no guilt and thought it was completely right, then she is mentally ill.

The War in Iraq gets twisted. This will for sure become a discussion about the war, but the US is not fighting for the freedom of speech, they are fighting to eliminate enemies of the US who would inflict economical and casualty damage. To say that these soldiers are fighting for our freedom or our right to speech is exaggerating it. These soldiers are at max, minimizing terrorist threats that would compromise our safety.

OK. She's definitely a literalist of the King James Bible. However, as Fox pointed out, she doesn't live by all tenets of the bible and I believe her belief in God is more similar to that of the OT God (because of her redudancy in saying that the Wrath of God is upon us). The NT God tends to seem more sympathetic, but she chooses to ignore all passages in the Bible that preach about forgiveness and sympathy.

Meh, if killing was legal, I'd worry more about what she would do then what everyone else would do to her. She's the one with the shady moral compass, most of us know the difference between right and wrong.
