but what if bhangra competetion were to be live on tv . For the people who cant make it or etc. wouldn't that be exciting. and no one has to wait for the videos hahha. But somthign like that would to happens. BIG ups yo. I wish somthing like that can happend. But at the end its all about money. what do u guys think yo. CAN IT HAPPEND> OR Atleast live from computers.

I wish more competitions would try to implement a way for people outside of the area to witness the shows they they work so hard putting on. Watching Bruin live via internet last year was just sickkkk (even though it cost a few pennies, it was worth it).

WITH TV SHOWING:

You gotta make your money via the channel. The channel gets it money from ads who want views. If you can provide MORE views, then more ads will be willing to jump in and the channel is more willing to show your show.

WITH INTERNET LIVE:

I mean, if you charge $10 per person who watches it live (simple login, one IP access, disclaimer that states that only 1 IP per $10), then you'll probably make all your ends meet. If you're local, then you'll go see it anyways rather than let it stream on your crappy computer. But if you're far, then you pretty much pay half of the ticket price and save yourself travel expenses. Everyone wins.

I mean, you can have parties at your place, hook up the laptop to the projector and watch it with groups of friends, but most likely, you weren't gonna LOSE those people in the first place coz most likely they werent gonna come. Honestly, if you're driving distance, you might just as well go.

Outside of this website/the bhangra world.. no one else really cares about it enough for it to be profitable to show live on TV. It's the same thing with bboy/breakdancing competitions which has a huge following, it's still not big enough to warrant anything like that.
