And... here's a link to every one of those kid's Facebook accounts, cell phones, and their home addresses:

They're chilling for sure now, probably getting their cell phones blown up. ;) Those kids decided to wimp out and deactivate their Facebooks, guess they weren't able to eat the words they spoke earlier to this poor old lady.

Moderator's Note: Removed the personal information for privacy reason. If you want to see it, it's all over internet (the original reddit post with the video has it in the top comments)

Well thats incredibly stupid, their middle school kids who now have to deal with waves and waves of hate. Posting their adresses and phone numbers? I find that soo uncalled for and only escalates things. They werent justified and were completly wrong with how they acted but do they deserve to be burned to a stake?

They're a bunch of 11-15 year olds, for christ sakes.

That's pretty cruel but I am happy to see at least some good came out of it.... so far people donated over 100k to that woman lol awesome!

This brought me to tears within the first few seconds. I couldn't even get through the entire video in one shot and had to watch it in intervals.

Honestly, I am more than glad this video went viral. There is no part of me that feels sympathetic towards those kids and the severe backlash they are receiving as a result of their behavior.

It's scary to think that these kinds of things happen every single day to so many people and that this video is only one situation of many that just happened to get publicity. I am so disgusted right now... and I'm hurting for that woman. She displayed impressive patience to sit through 10 (or probably more) minutes of that harassment. That alone makes her beautiful. Really happy to see she's getting help from the public.

I agree with you, kids will be kids but this is at a whole new level. it is really good to see support from the public which will result in a lesson for those middle school kids

+1 Reeda speaks the truth.

I couldn't sit though watching the whole thing in one go either. It disgusts me that kids would behave in this type of manner to elders and that their parents have not raised them any better!

I'm glad the video went viral too and have no problem with these kids getting what they deserve (harrased on their facebook, called on their cell numbers, etc). I actually saw a story on NBC's "Today Show" regarding this incident and they mentioned that the 68 year old lady (Karen Klein) is partially deaf. They also mentioned that it's estimated her salary is only $15K per year.

I hope the donation money actually goes directly to the woman in the video and not some 3rd party. She could definitely use the money for a "vacation" as it was first intended and even retire considering how much has been raised so far. Also, I would love to see harrasement charges put up against the kids & their parents. We need more media coverage of incidents that like this that "teach people a lesson" so everyone in this world realizes there are consequences for your actions.

They're kids, I'm not sure what people are expecting to do to them. They behaved poorly, but that doesn't make them terrible people. It's makes them brats and bullies. This shit happens constantly at that age (although usually at other kids), I'm surprised so many forget. It's not a shock that kids can be mean, and I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of them are just peer-pressured into saying things like this to get giggles and acceptance.

Seriously, these kids are what, 12? 13? Need a spanking and some grounding, not the entire world judging them and hoping something terrible happens to them. And I highly doubt their parents didn't raise them better. We all act exactly the same around our parents as we do elsewhere right? right?

Hopefully the parents give some discipline at home and a little taste (but just a little) of how people are reacting. It's good to understand your actions have consequences, but also not have the wrath of the world against you at 13.

They are only middle schoolers, but that doesn't justify their threats they made to the woman. From what I remember from the video, they threatened to deface the lady's house, and even committed assault and battery. The lady could sue and easily win by a mile.

Sorry but I have ZERO sympathy- As quoted in an MSN article, one of the kids told the lady that she was so ugly that her kids should kill themselves. Her son committed suicide 10 years ago (Link below):

"One taunt that particularly hurt, Klein told a local television reporter, was when a student said, “You’re so ugly, your kid should kill themselves.’’ Klein said her son committed suicide 10 years ago.

And the addresses/numbers etc. were compiled by someone else, not me.

If I threw down the F-bomb when I was 12 or 13, my Dad would take out his talwar and *makes knock sound with tongue* cut off my balls.

Maybe most Desi kids are just raised to have higher ethical/moral levels from the get go. That's something to ponder over.

Also, I don't feel shame exposing people (regardless of age) if they are caught doing things that could either get them sued or put in jail. The punishment should fit the crime - their parents should be held just as much accountable as these kids.

My 2 cents,

If you listen and look carefully for it in the video, one of the kids actually tampers with her hearing aid and then continues to verbally mock the fact that she is deaf

Sad to see a whole bus of kids stay quiet. Not even one voice of reason?

However, this is what kids do - they can be extremely mean and quite often cross the line. They need role models in their lives not the entire world wide web hating them. Hate breeds hate. Don't like saying this but today's generation of teenagers are immensely rude and insensitive. And instead of pointing the finger at them (and their yet-to-develop craniums), I would blame their parents/guardians and hold them accountable. The kids should be punished too but ruining their lives (before it even hit the wonder years) is not the way.

From my limited experience in working with teenagers, they are easily swayed. Their focus is fitting in and being cool and sometimes they will go to extremes to achieve that. My initial reaction was probably the same as everyone's. Image of me running after these kids with a chainsaw + maniacal laughter... wait, maybe that was just me. But, that is not the answer. Hating them will not teach them anything and make them better human beings. We all make mistakes!

It's incredible that so many people have donated so much money. I really hope it all goes to the old lady. (Well all of it except the 4% fee the website charges.) On the home page of MSN.com there was an article saying that over $300,000 has been raised. It's safe to say this old lady can retire in peace and go on her vacation.

I agree all four kids deserve punishments, perhaps both from the parents and the community (service learning) to learn and better their mistakes for their intensive wrong doings. Karen Klein has let them off easily, no charges are pressed against the four. She deserves the support of the community and should be able to benefit very well assuming the money goes her way.

Im really amazed by the donations. It's extremely nice to see so many people come together to raise such a generous amount for Karen which she deserves, but it's really sad many people dont donate like this to raise money for other causes.

funds for Karen went into thousands just over night, meaning the public clearly has tons of money. Just sucks that other fundraisers dont do as well :-\
