Hello all,
I have been forced to write this post on behalf of the Sikh community. As a Sikh in Canada , I have been disgusted by the actions of VIBC, they have knowingly disrespected our culture and religion. It saddens me to say that the organizers of this event call themselves "Sikhs" and claim to preserve culture, yet they have completely ignored the 1984 Sikh genocide. These people knowingly, decided to celebrate and dance on the days that the world commemorates this genocide. This is a terrible and disgusting thing they have done.
VIBC leeches off the city of Vancouver claiming to preserve our culture, yet they are using the city's money to disgrace the Punjabi heritage. Organizers like Mandeep Patrola and Sukhi Ghuman, who claim to do such good for the community are at fault, and should be ashamed of themselves. You all have done an awful thing.
