yeah this comp showed how untouchable apd is....i mean NJ elite 8 a guy fell which totally knocked em out of the placings, but APD had a turla come off (they do 2 piece) AND a guy fell in the front a couple times near the end AND still managed to place...

Yea bro Sukha Mann was in the audience while I was back stage and he told me. He said when Ustaad Ji was playing the Harmonium on stage, Nirmal Sidhu walked up and told him that's not how you play it, you need to do it like this and showed Ustaad Ji how to play. Congrats to all the teams that placed! My placings are different from the outcome, but that's beyond the point. I had fun meeting everyone during the weekend and I hope you all enjoyed your stay!
I do have some reviews but please don't take them to the heart. I'm no bhangra expert, I'm amateur at best but this is what I saw from the audience. Take my reviews as an average audience member would see.
Shoutouts are included too.
DRP - Your set was in sync. I didn't see or don't remember any mistakes happening. Loved the quatchi gimmick. Only thing I saw was a few formations out of place, and you didn't have that oomph factor. But c'mon I lowe you guys and you know it! Nice seeing everyone again and all the new people this year!!
Bhangra Empire - I thought going with 10 people really didn't go so well. You guys didn't fill up the stage and it really looked empty. Most gimmicks were the same ones you used last year at this competition. Try to change it up. However, as usual you guys were hella insync and I believe formations were spot on.
PCBCA - You guys were my favorite of the night. Brought it hard to the stage and of course the little kids ripped it especially the lil' dholi. Only mistake I saw was the shikke getting stuck but other than that I didn't really notice anything else wrong. You guys had everything and c'mon got the standing ovation. Be proud of this performance.
Panj - You guys brought it hard as well but didn't get to see all of the performance. But from what I got to see, it was going well and I didn't see any mistakes.
Pindu - From a team aspect, you guys are chill. Loved hanging out with you guys. You all were just sincerely happy to be at vibc and didn't care about if you placed or not and that's what I love to see. Performance wise, it was obvious not all dancers were at the same level. Practice makes perfect. Loved all the gimmicks and stunts. Couldn't hear the guitar too well but that's a sound tech problem not yours. Different style and liked it and definately have potential. As well, please send me a tshirt lol I really loved them!
APD - Second favorite performance. Had the entertainment factor, moves, stunts and everything. Saw more mishaps that I'd like to but you guys ripped up that stage. Congrats on first place! Chiller team too. I don't remember his name, but remind one of your guys that it's sushi not shushi lol. Nice meeting you all too.
SMD - Sorry but didn't get to see your performance. It was nice meeting you all though! Hope you enjoyed your stay in Vancouver.
All in all, I had an amazing time meeting everyone. I really hoped you had a wonderful time in Vancouver and at the competition. Please do come back next year!

Hey everyone! just got back to LA earlier this morning! VIBC was sick! Great organization and Canadian people are real nice peeps! It was a good time from the second we landed until we left. Big shout outs to SMD and Pindu bhangra! they were awesome to hang with! ALso to Harj (our liasion) for being clutch, and Bharathi (Jawani) for helping us out and repping LA as well! =P Congrats to everyone and hope you partied hard!
PS: i also spent an extra day in Surrey after the Canucks game and ended up on 72nd street i believe.......it was BANANAS! so many drunken indians! even i couldnt resist celebrating and i've never seen a game of hockey in my life! Go Canucks!
