Islam bans figural art. Does Christianity have limitations on its pictorial representation? If so what are they? Why do you think that religious leaders pay so much attention to what happens in art?

i dont think christianity has limitations on its pictorial representations, aside from obvious vulgar pictorials. it might be interesting to look at the controversy created by the art some african guy made using dung of the virgin mary. lemme see if i can wikipedia it...
