Trying to get a documentary going, so if you see me with a camera at any of this year's competition be sure to drop by and sound off your feelings on bhangra, judging, btf, recipes (chef shinderpaul), lol whatever. Though I'm focusing on RP, I'd love to take footage of any of the other teams to provide a holistic picture of the NA bhangra scene.

Well-filmed and well-documented. I really felt like I was watching True Life. You could definitely see a variety of emotion in certain scenes (ie: Raj's Girlfriend vs. The Goof) and that's what made it real. Undoubtedly one of the best bhangra team videos I have seen. Simply raw, simply brilliant.

also, any ideas people have to incorporate. what sort of things would you like to see highlighted (competitions, team drama, rivalries, identity issues, disappointment with placings, etc???)

I think it would be cool to see how people act during practices, if they fool around.
hmmmmm, i also think it would be cool to see viewpoints of team members, and how they feel about other members and about the routine, what ideas of theirs that did not get put in/ got put in...the ideas you mentions such as rivalries and identity issues would be awesome


oh yea you could highlight the trip TO the competitions as well as the competitions!

Yeah dude, those are good ideas. One thing I noticed is that teammates won't say anything all that openly while the camera is around. So you kind of have to just infer what they are trying to say but not saying themselves.

First off, props for doing this. I'm a documentary nerd as it is, but this was a real treat. You should start documenting a team preparing for a competition and follow them through this journey. There are so many aspects of the bhangra scene you can capture this way.

maybe when the seasons over (like have a truth box)... or if people quit, they will respond more freely, idk just a thought. Yea, people don't want to openly say what they think because they will probably be judged by it later, or it will affect their relationship with other team members.
