yea, thanks to Saab!

we all need to contribute articles now. Is Saab going to be the one compiling results of all past competitions or do we do that? we can create team pages, and each team's page has a section of "competitions and awards" or whatever where they list where they went and if they won...

then the pages specific to each comp (the Bruin page, the Boston page) can have a summary of past winners - we can glean a lot of the pre-2006 stuff from POL also

FYI...

Saleem is the one who actually created the Bhangra Wiki. Saab was selected by Saleem and the BTF team to be the dedicated moderator for this project.

It's honestly 100% up to the members here. The fear is that team pages will be spammed and flamed, but if we find that's simply not happening then every team has the opportunity to do so. Ram/Mod's efforts are better spent beefing up the bhangra-related content rather than dealing with petty bullshit.

SO PLEASE contribute positively

Arjun we're still discussing the best way to give teams and competitions a home on BTF.. the Wiki has pros and cons... More customizability, but less structure, searching (upcoming competitions), sorting (rankings), and querying.

Yeah, as much as I put stuff on, Saleem makes it happen. I thank you pritpal, and everyone who gave me a shout out, but really if you want to give anyone praise it should be saleem for putting this together. As much as we enjoy it, it was his vision and I was just honored to work on it and help out.

Ill be doing a lot compiling in the next two weeks and try to incorporate previous thread material and cite it back to the threads from whence it came. Ill just reiterate what Swi with what he said about bs, but would like to add that not only is the wiki important to newbies, but as arjun pointed out, it could be a tool used by EVERYONE in relation to bhangra, its history, and its future. A lot of understanding can be potentially gleaned from those pages, as well as providing a stable reference for all members. As long as each member or person editing carries a certain responsibility in recognizing that their input is powerful, the wiki could bring back returns unforeseen by all of us.

Start posting, start adding. Theres no need to thank me, just thank yourselves for making this vision happen.

~Ram
