Other things to check out groundshaker on the 30th and Festival day on the 31st, which is like a Mela that NJ is hosting and they are trying to gather about 1,000 bhangra dancers to break a world record...i am sure Jasdeep Paji can elaborate on it more....
the day after groundshaker we are holding a mehfil mela at the Powerade Centre field in brampton. At about 11 am, we will begin the 1000 dancer performance, anyone is more than welcomed to participate, all you need to do is fill out a registration form before you begin, and preferably dressed in a bhangra vardi. the point of the registration form is so the guiness world records people have proof of the amount of dancers there are. its a very simple routine to follow, we will have one of our dancers among every group of people so dancers will have a person to follow, there will also be performances by local singers, plus the artists performing at groundshaker, and i believe there will be performances from teams aswell. if anybody would like to register, you can pick up and fill out a form at any one of our locations, or you can print a form off of www.nachdijawani.com and bring it with you on saturday, also if anyone needs any help with tying paggs or chadrey, we will have volunteers to assist people with them

so I have a question,

I'm coming to Toronto, annnd I'm taking a bus from NYC which drops me off at the "Royal York Hotel"...wherever that is....so how do I get to Mississauga, more importantly, the venue, from there? My cousin who lives there might come so then it's not an issue BUT if not....is there some sort of public transportation I can take?

The TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) buses are good, but I dunno if they go to Mississauga or not. I'll find out and get back to you, or maybe someone from the Toronto area can answer that...

Pooja, here's the best option I found:

The Royal York Hotel is right next to Union Station. Take the Go Transit train from Union towards Milton (yellow line), and get off at Cooksville. From there, it's 2.5 km to the venue (5 mins. by car/30 mins. walking) to the venue. I'm sure someone could pick you up. The fare cost is $4.55.
