Faizan you also have to look at how many good comps there are for live teams on the US East Coast...If your on a live team, its really only fun competing against other live teams. Its hard to plan and pay for travel just to get some good competition. Thats one of the reasons the Live teams that the East Coast do not compete as often. Many of the East Coast live teams only end up competing once a year kuz they dont want to fly across the country (or to another country for that matter) every other month...
there have been some good performances in the last few years from East Coast Live teams... just not as many as other regions, and this might be one of the contributing factors.

Toronto, Cali, Vancouver all have upwards of 5 competitions every year. For a live team like ours, we could not afford to go to Cali or BC for competitions...which left us Toronto and a very long drive to Virginia to go to a live competition. Shoutout to the midwest- needs more live teams. The only live teams I know from the mid-west was ours and a live team from Chicago which didn't really compete outside of Chicago.

The resources are greater elsewhere too. Our team decided to go live after seeing teams like Rooh Punjab Di compete at PCS Chicago way back in 2005 before the live craze/hype and struggled with learning how to put a live routine together without the people around us to teach us.

Mid-West and East Coast will step the live game up soon enough, people are getting more more knowledgeable about some key stuff, more singers, more dholis/algozhey players, etc..its coming.
