The fights usually have been kept in control. The only fights that aren't kept in control are the political ones that take place inside the gurdwara between past and present parties.

This is the only day in Yuba City where all police officers and county Sheriffs are mandated to work. They cannot take this day off. There is police everywhere and don't worry I will be there too

Lately, the fights have cut down to merely one, if any. And yes what Amar said is true, the main fights are IN the gurdwara between parties. I've witnessed paghs pulled off. Not only are city police and sheriffs mandated, there have been a number on federal agents there as well, so stay on your best behavior. lol.

I went for the very first time last year and it was awesome! =) There were gazillions of people, all types of yummy food, and the floats were decorated beautifully...especially the California SSA ones! The helicopter flying over the Gurudwara Sahib dropping flowers was a first. Hope I get to go again this year!

Ashveer- Let me know if you guys need help with the floats, a few of the members from CSU Fresno's SSA will be in Yuba the night before! =)
