What the hell is a Bollywood freestyle music bhangra competition

Nice! I'd suggest checking out LearnBhangra too as they do a pretty good job of citing all the move names. The guy that runs the page Lavesh Is on btf as well

They have largely been available on the internet but they are now easier to stream. Enjoy soundcloud.com/klasikhzmusic

Excited to see the performances! I hope that everyone comes out with female singers or at least female centric songs in the mixes. I feel like with how many singers there isn't a shortage of songs to choose from now VSB Nishani mixes from 2018 is one of my favorite team mixes in recent memory...

Sounds like its just the GDR Loop with this loop on top

This mix is major heat for all the West Coast hip hop fans ?????

First of all, what do you mean by "professional team". The way you seem to describe a "professional team" is similar to pro sports where there is an owner that pays team members. Independent teams are ones that are not associated with a college and they are in no way "professional". I was going...

Didn't get a chance to read the whole article, not trying to put my credit card down for a free trial. Can't speak for garba and fusion teams but independent teams thrive in the bhangra circuit. If you look at big bhangra compeitions like Bruin Bhangra, Bhangra in the Burgh etc. independent...

Just to name a few teams that are still active in the bay: CAL Bhangra, Norcal Naujawan, Royal Bhangra girls and Stanford Bhangra. There is also San Francisco Bhangra Club which seems to be a group of transplants collegiate dancers from across the country that now live in SF. I don't think they...

I could be wrong but I believe Duolingo has panjabi. Additionally watching Panjabi movies would probably help as it forces you to practice understanding panjabi. That's how I understand Hindi cause I used to watch Bollywood movies as a kid

I hear the song @3:05 all the time on the Panjabi Radio but I never noticed that G Sidhu used the same lyrics haha ???

Looking at the Vice City Bhangra website it was put on by High- Fi Marketing who previously organized Bhangra on the Rock and Sunset Bhangra. Seems to me is that whoever Rahul Prakash is he organized a Miss India pageant and then decided they were perfectly capable of trying to host comps around...

Its crazy that how a lot of these producers started on soundcloud and whose mixes were used in Bhangra performances and now they are producing full fledge songs. Can't wait!

You should probably specify specifically where in Australia. A team near you might be able to help

That is just a common boli I have heard in Jhummer Exhibition performances. Not sure if GCC actually used an actual song or just pulled the vocals from a live performance

I would hit up Da real Punjabiz since they are located in San Diego. They might end up competing but at least they could possibly point in the right direction for judging, etc.

You should probably specify what part of the Bay Area (SF, East Bay, South Bay etc.)

Vancouver/Surrey area - VanCity Bhangra, PANJ, Shan E Punjab, countless other live teams that I can't name For California I would say the main hubs are the Bay Area and the Sacramento area but a lot of the teams are made of people of a mix of the Bay, Sac, Central Valley etc.

Solid lineup but damn what happened to all the Canadian teams o_O
