Little do many (new) people know that Gurkanwal Sidhu (G. Sidhu) used to be an active BTF member and starting off by dancing & singing (performing shers) for Virsa: Our Tradition. Eventually helping out with judging.

So many amazing performances & segments. Definitely worth a watch. UK Bhangra is at insane levels when it comes to music teams.
Agree with Harbind on the production quality - TBS always goes above & beyond. The crowds are insane too. We need more competitions of this caliber in North America...
Moderator's Note: Locking this topic. Going forward, I suggest that the organization communicate with all teams that have applied via e-mail rather than through this BTF topic.
Good post - I support this initiative (idea), but before deciding to move forward, it would be very beneficial to get input from the fusion & raas circuits. Especially, from those individuals who have been a part of those circuits for YEARS.
Also, all "chosen" competitions would have to be on...
"McDonalds has partnered with 5678 Media Group and Zee TV to become the national title sponsor Season II of Dance USA Dance!"
Dam, taking the chicken dance to new heights. That's pretty big.

Hi Katie. So the terminology can seem overwhelming, but let me see if I can help with these terms:
Ghungroo - small metals bells sewn together with a piece of yarn/string (or sewn on a piece of fabric) that is wrapped around the ankle of a dancer. Ghungroo are also used in various forms of...
@Charanjeet Minhas & @Narinder singh - please stop bumping this topic. If you have more information to share about this competition, that is fine, otherwise bumping up this topic every few days is not encouraged.
The teams that are interested will apply, regardless. Being a first year...
Just wanted to take a moment to throw up this short (6 min) documentary that's worth a watch. It includes lot of great footage from Punjabi bhangra performers that's well edited & has subtitles for non-Punjabi speakers!
A lot of great fundamentals mentioned here. Thanks to my friend @Arjun...
Hi all,
Since many individuals come to BTF seeking this information, I feel it's about time we had a pinned topic on a list of bhangra vendors that people had experience using (buying/renting stuff from) or at least have the vendor contact information for.
If you're someone that knows of any...
Moderator's Note: Locking this topic because it's getting derailed. PM me or Saleem if anyone has anything important to add.
Edit - Temporarily opened it back up per a request on 2/14/18.
Hi. Welcome to BTF.
How many times will you be using the outfits and what type of time frame are looking at? Providing that information will help with giving you advice.
If you have the time & resources (money, knowledge, etc).. you cannot beat having your outfits tailored & customized from...
Nice mixtape - enjoyed the song selection and the clean transitions. Nice concepts incorporated throughout the mix. Great work on it overall.
Thanks for sharing,

Keep yourself updated and feel free to share any competition information that's not already in this Google doc: http://bhangrateamsforum.com/a/threads/competition-listings-calendar.24600/
Amen - preach brotha! I'd rather listen to a quality mix every month or two from a DJ who is seriously putting the effort in (or at least trying to be creative/improve their craft!) rather than a mix every single week. Overall, the quality of mixes have just gone down hill.. perhaps due to many...
The mixer should stay for teams - really it's the only event where the teams get an opportunity to interact and meet people from other teams in a "fun" environment.
I'd say leave the after-party open to whoever wants to come. Some competitions give teams like wristbands or something to identify...
Awesome video with a lot of interesting knowledge dropped. I enjoyed the Q&A toward the end, especially the question at 56:05. Switching dhol rhythms in modern stage performances is always interesting for me to hear.
Oh.. @58:25 jhummar for the win! So fun to dance to, especially in...
