This is great Elite Entertainment team! I especially liked the Elite 8 mini-interview with Waldo as you guys asked a lot of great questions -- please do MORE of this type of stuff because it greatly appeals to all those that keep up with the bhangra circuit in North America.
Also, really loved...
Not in any order, but my placing predictions:
Shaan Mutiyaaran Di (SMD)
Carnegie Mellon University (CMU)
Alamo City Bhangra (ACB) - GO TEXAS! ;)

Many Australian teams are developing stronger sets quite quickly - I always love to see new teams as they make their mark. Similar to the U.K. teams, I don't think teams in Australia will face as big of a learning curve as teams here in North America.
As Prabhzy stated, this is excellent for...
I believe this sentence from mrchicity is spot on. I personally feel there is a large disconnect from many competitions organizers/committees to find proper judges.
While we, as a community/forum, can put together a list of judges who we feel qualify according to certain criteria... it's really...
Not affiliated with the competition, but helping out teams that might be interested.

If Hardeep is busy, he may tell you to make your own: http://bhangrateamsforum.com/discuss/main-bhangra-discussion/making-saaps/
He had provided some detailed blueprints, images of the assembly, instructions, and tools needed in that thread.
All the best,

Welcome to BTF Sunny! Here is my brief response to your questions...
Learning - a few hours to a few days depending on how quickly you pick up on things.
Mastering - decades? There are many of us that have danced for years and are still not considered "masters" of the art form. There are...
I personally would love to see more QUALITY competitions that give NEWER TEAMS a chance if (and only if) they can draw large crowds/fill a venue. If you're hosting the competition in a city where you can draw in people from the Punjabi/Desi community, colleges/universities in the area, high...
No offense jskaran, but it seems like all of your posts on BTF have been only to request songs/albums/sound effects from people.
You've obviously benefited a lot from BTF, so you should really try to help out others out by trying to upload/supply them with music or by answering their questions...
Before asking teams to provide you with their information...
Mind stating your affiliation? Which competition are you with?
That might help,
~ Basim :)
Great topic and a lot of great points brought up already! I was going to mention #2 from Mariam's original post because that's one thing that I've seen a lot of teams fall victim too.
Another useful tip: Continuously rotate different dancers to the front of the stage or the front of the...
Very useful videos Mariam! Thank you for sharing.
I actually had seen the second one (from the ASD girls) a long time back, but the first video from the Shaan Punjabi Di (SPD) girls is new and shows how to tie a more "traditional" chunni that comes with many outfits these days. I remember our...
Ty for the prompt response Disha :) That's quite understandable if all teams were notified of it in advance. I love the creativity that you guys use as a committee - this voting concept is something great to get the audience/fans involved.
Just casted my vote - btw, the "submit" button is...
