Great suggestions guys! I, too, think some of these ideas would be awesome to incorporate down the road. Photos & Vlogs have generally just been posted in the "Main Bhangra Discussion" or "Videos and Performances" sections, but having a dedicated subforum for these might be great when we plan...

Re: CMU Bhangra Fall 2013 Mix Thank you friends for enabling download on soundcloud & for uploading to BTF! Can't wait to listen to mix in more detail. All the best! ~ Basim :)

Re: CMU Bhangra Fall 2013 Mix Great song selection and very well done mix. I enjoyed how smooth it flowed despite the varying songs. Thanks for sharing shreeps - any chance you could post a download link (upload it to BTF)? I would love to jam out to this in my car on some trips! ~ Basim :)

Welcome Sir Ji Noooooo. Nice first post. You have quite a unique background. We do have an "Introduce Yourself" topic here on BTF if you want to read through it to get to know about a few others. Enjoy! ~ Basim :)

The most obvious choice is Ram Mahalingam. Clearly his milkshakes brought the boys to the yard this Fall. ~ Basim :)

Great mix Gagan - I might be a bit biased because I love the original song, but great use of the snare drum effects to make your mix unique. I like that you blended some rap voice/lyrics in various parts of the mix (i.e. like at the beginning). The ending bass notes seemed a bit too congested...

Re: First Class Bhangra at Bhangra in the Burgh 7 Wow! Super quick 1st place winning performance upload. THANK YOU for that First Class Bhangra! Super impressed to see where you guys have gotten to as both individuals & as a team. I still remember the days when a lot of the older guys just...

This guy.. what a tease! I did like the Titanium & Tatti song bit ;) ~ Basim :)

Hi sikhunit34, I believe the best way to help you would be to show you, but since that's not possible and writing it all out here would be difficult to describe, these videos might be the best methods to follow: sobTV - Episode 2 - How To Tie A Chaadra Chadra Tying Similar to tying a...

I can't thank these mixing mods enough for stepping up & contributing over the ENTIRE summer: Jake, Daman, Harbind, Mithu and Nimish. All the DJ's involved should pay their respect to these guys because there is A SHITLOAD that happens "behind the scenes" every week to make this possible. Not...

Took the words right out of my mouth. Not too worry SGupta7, I'll +1 on your behalf! ;) The video is so "real" and captures such a great message - I only wish it was longer, haha. I honestly love seeing team videos where they are just naturally talking and don't have the pressure of performing...

Hi Fahaddd - there have been a lot of saap/shikke threads on BTF. Not sure if you've searched the website and read over a few of the recent ones. I'll send you a PM with some info to better address your question. Hope it helps a bit. ~ Basim :)

Nice question and survey/poll Jordan. I think it also depends at what point in life you're at and when the competition takes place. When I was in college, I didn't mind flying out to a competition. Especially when we had those long breaks - it was the perfect opportunity. Now that I'm...

Thanks for the updates Jake!! Keep them coming my friends - really wish BBC had a live stream. Let us know who your favorites are by the end of the show - I wanna see how close the judges placings are to your own. ~ Basim :)

My vote: DJ 1 Feedback: DJ 1 - I honestly wasn't feeling the intro too much. I couldn't see it being used by a team for their final song. After 0:20 when the mix provided a good buildup and the tempo of the song was increased, it started to sound good. I would have liked if you increased the...

My Vote: DJ 2 Feedback: DJ 1 - The first 6 seconds of your opening was a straight copy of the original song (unchanged) - I would have liked something more creative/unique at the beginning. You did add some faint snare drums & a vinyl rewind effect starting at 7-8 seconds which provided a...

Quick reminder: Mixes for this final Week 7 challenge are due tomorrow (Monday, November 11) by 11:59 PM PST. Submit your stuff soon people! BTF is anxious to hear what you came up with for this "finale" themed challenge. All the best, ~ Basim :)

Yay!! I was anxiously waiting for this happen someday. Great job WBBC committee for making this a reality! It fits your competition theme perfectly. Please continue the hard work you guys do. Good luck to both of these "superstar" teams. Looking forward to see what is brought to the stage...

Sorry for bumping this old topic - attached "Hans Mann Advert." Keep in mind this is not a complete song - it was simply the last track and an advert off of Ace & Nana's "Back To Folk 2" album. A small portion cut and used by VCU in their mix. I don't believe a full song was ever released. It...

Congrats to DJ Preet, DJ Aka$h, and sK for winning the hearts of BTF in their respective challenges and amongst the weekly winners in this poll. Your mixes will be air on tomorrow's show live from 4-6 P.M. EST on New York & New Jersey radio! Check it out on 103.3FM HD2 (NJ) or 103.9FM (NJ/NY)...
