Regardless it doesn't contribute to the discussion in any way and it only demeans the teams that are excited to be part of the lineup.

This may be based on the competition. Of course I'm biased to GMU, but I don't think burgh gave the impression you'd get automatic entrance in the competition if you placed the year prior (like Boston does). I'm assuming the video that was sent in maybe just wasn't up to level what other people brought.faizan said:So two of the placing teams from last year were not invited back? I never understand why competitions do this. They were good enough to dance better than 7/10 teams from last year, but they aren't good enough to get the chance to do it again? Awkward indeed.
College teams' skill levels can vary drastically from year to year based on the upperclassman graduating and the yearly change in captains.faizan said:So two of the placing teams from last year were not invited back? That being true...I almost see it as them defending their title. Okay yes they might have a completely new team but thats the point. Its to see if the team that placed last year can be upto par and hold their rank they acheived. I mean, everyone at a competition, when beating a team that placed last year feels THAT much betterr would you agree??Psant said:College teams' skill levels can vary drastically from year to year based on the upperclassman graduating and the yearly change in captains.faizan said:So two of the placing teams from last year were not invited back?
