Cowboys vs. Redskins

Underachievers? I guess that when we beat out your teams its a battle of who did less of the underachieving then?

LMAO, the last time we played the niners it wasn't even fair, and the cowboys...goodness gracious your Defensive staff has just been shaken up, so I doubt Adam Jones will have a significant impact on the linebacking and Dline.

You want to talk about underachieving, please see the last game of the season when the cowboys racked up A WHOPPING 1 RUSHING YARD against the Skins. You guys were supposed to contend for the title, with a performance to end the season like that? I disagree with the sentiment that the last game doesn't matter when you are 13-3 and have clinched the division. You end strong the same way you entered with strength, by winning. You play to win and to make a statement. The cowboys have won 0 games in the playoffs since 96, and even though we have only one 1 game more than ya'll, when we get to the playoffs we make it count. Look at the stats:

Cowboys: playoff wins in how many playoff appearances?
Redskins: 2 wins in the last 5 games we had, dating back to 99.

True, we've had more subpar seasons than you guys recently. But, what's the point in being proud when you can't win when it counts...

lol sorry that was harsh :)

Merry Christmas Nikhil, highest payroll in the league, and I'd say the Redskins are pretty shitty product.... Yes I said UNDERACHIEVERS, if you arent underachieving, what exactly is going on? You guys have the talent to win, but just dont seem to win enough... And by the way, I'm not a Cowboys fan, I'm a Niners fan, we have 5 superbowls, I demand some RESPECT! hahahaha...

Skins have 3 superbowls and 2 other football championships (pre-65) and overall 11 appearances.

How's Smith working out?

Are we really turning this into a Niners vs Skins thing? Please, thats a disgrace to Niners fans... You guys have never really been a relevant franchise, Skins fans pump their own ego's to make them feel special so they can hang with the big boys... We(Niners) suck because we have stupid ownership, but atleast we admit it. Redskins fans are always in denial, they'll never admit that they just are not good enough, it's always "bad luck" or some other stupid excuse... I live in Redskins country out here sort of, I have to deal with Redskin retards everyday....We dominated for half a decade, I think we're the only team to have two back to back hall of fame quarterbacks(Steve and Joe), we produced the greatest wide reciever in history (Jerry Rice)... Our 5 superbowls speak for themselves... The Skins are in the middle of the pack when it comes to football history... Dont bother throwing names like "monk" and "theismann" out there, they're not exactly Jerry and Montana...

Yes "Monk" is big, maybe not as big as Rice but still the man was a legend.

The fact that Gibbs could produce 3 winners with 3 different quarterbacks speaks for itself. Yes you had Montana who is arguably the greatest of all time, but to say we are middle of the pack is to overlook some very good redskins championship teams throughout the eighties and early nineties brought to you by ridiculous coaching and talent...

Btw, last season was a tragedy. The fact that this team came together after ST passed away is hardly underachieving.

Vick,

I absolutely feel you that a lot of Redskins fans just pump without knowing anything, but...you gotta win now, and the 49ers have been perennially awful since garcia vs. owens (i really thought garcia would be a third legend in the legacy) whereas the Redskins, playing in the toughest division of the NFC and second toughest in the NFL, have at least competed in past 5 years.

Every real Redskins fan will give you 100 reasons why Dan Snyder is a rich asshole who has no idea what he's doing. He's getting better though, and the Redskins will reflect that. What we needed was a coach who would bring some class back to the franchise. Gibbs did that, but couldnt' adjust to the new league. That will change this year.

Skins are going 10-6 with a good shot at wild card.

Man I know... Trust me, the 49ers were my heart and soul, I used to bleed gold... We really screwed up financially though, I mean we were paying Steve, Jerry and Brent Jones well after they left the team... It took us forever to get under the salary cap... We struck gold with Owens and Garcia, otherwise it would have been 13 years of below .500 football... I think it's a cycle, back then teams like Indianapolis and the Patriots were the laughing stock of the league while the Niners, Packers and Cowboys ran the show... Well the Packers and Cowboys continued their stable ownership while our team fell in the hands of a billionaire Ohio businessman who doesnt know jack shit about football nor does he care about the team because he inherited it from his wife who was forced to take it from her brother who was forced to give up ownership after he got caught in a gambling thing... Funny thing is, Eddie Debartlo, the man who brought us all those glory years would love to have the team back, but his dipshit sister wants to keep it and refuses to call him for help on how to run the team... I know things could be worse, I could be a Raiders fan.. hahahaha...

lets go niners! sorry i missed out on the debate, been busy, but yeah, 5 super bowl victories, 0 super bowl losses speaks for itself, and no one else can say that...though it is rough times being a niner fan at the moment, this season has some optimism, and were hoping mike martz can utilize the assets he has effectively and get this offense going...smith has been pretty mediocre so far, but he has had three different o-coordinators in three years, and last season was a wash as he was injured, martz should be able to get him going now...and right now, the niners, along the texans, have one the best up and coming defenses in the league, with p-willis (the second coming of ray lewis), manny lawson coming back from surgery, and kentwan balmer in the middle now, i have a good feeling about the future

I have zero association to Dallas and I am still a Cowboys fan...I used to like them when I was younger (enjoyed being front-runner) , and I just continued to stay loyal through their ups and downs...Theres probably numerous people that came to like them when they had aikman, smith, and irwin and just stuck with them. Much like there are Bulls fans whose loyalty stems from liking them when they had their dynasty....

LOL Binda..yeah you're right I'll stop. No doubt everyone has the right to root for their team...We have the best rivalry hands down, and the respect that the Cowboys showed to the skins after ST (RIP) died was out of sheer respect.

This was such a nice ending to what I thought was going to become a very bitter debate. HAHAHHAH, good job BTF. Regardless of what team you root for, I think we can all agree that the NFL needs to start as soon as possible, there is NO SPORT that rivals the excitement of NFL Football.
