acid pro is really good and is very easy to use aswell

acid pro is probably the best out there, also the easiest.

most of the settings and effects are automated in acid pro, so doing EQ, normalization, etc is easy. But one thing i've noticed is you need dto have good studio speakers in order to get teh proper sound because adjusting the levels on a home computer with regular speakers may sound good, but once the music is used on a proper system in a auditorium or even a stereo, it will sound much different quality wise so just a heads up with that. But otherwise, excellent program to use. If you want to edit/cut/paste tracks, soundforge is an excellent program as you can work with the music in more detail.

to add on to tony's post, for eq'ing make sure you have a good set of headphones (spend the money on a good pair of cans if you're serious about it), and you should be able to pick up on stuff. and when demoing your mix, make sure to listen to it on a varied set of speakers, and quality speakers too. any eq differences should be easily detected if you listen carefully enough.

does any one have suggesting on why type of speakers do they use or headphones? I personally have a Yamaha Speaker..any suggestions for a head phone?

I use acoustica as well to mix really easy but for EX and all I use Adobe Audition

I just you the headphones i got from my iPod touch. Works fine. But I would suggest spending extra money buying new speakers, competition speakers can ruin your whole mix if you can't tell where it needs to equalized and where it's alright. I just mix for practice, so headphones work fine. I would even suggest turning up the bass in your car and mix that way, crank it up allllll the way. Car speakers are not that bad when you're looking for how clean your mixes sound.

i wouldnt use the cheapo ipod headphones, the frequencies they can accurately reproduce are just too limited. if you want something light and portable, i would recommend any quality in-ear headphones. good and cheap ones are skullcandy inkd ones, they are like $15. another good option, and my favorite headphones, are sony mdr-ex 71, they run about $40. if you dont want the in-ear ones, go for those big bulky ones that will give you a headache if you wear them for more than a few hours haha. i currently have the sony mdr-xd200 and they are really good, and run you about $20 or so. as for speakers, i use my jbl creature 2's (about $100) to listen to stuff out loud, and i also have a klipsch igroove for my ipod ($250) that i use as an additional testing area. and of course, use your car if you have a good sound system in there.

If you're buying speakers, buy Klipsch: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/promedia-2-1.aspx. I've had these for about 6 years and they're amazing for the money. Loud as hell with no distortion. I've made all my mixes with them.

I've been playin around with AcidPro for a while now, and there's some things I just don't get.

How do teams take the vocals of one song and throw them in while another song is playing?\

Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

you just overlay the songs. Clip the vocals you want and lay them over another. Also, having an "acapella" feature can help by removing alot of the background music.
