I'm gonna have to agree with you. Either way the trophy will come back to the east. I'm just proud of the Hawks for winning tonight and throwing a kink in the Bulls game and I'm glad we did it in ATL. You don't get that chance everyday and I'm glad we took it. HAWKS!

Expecting a guy who has played so many games and is towards the end of his career to carry a team is silly. The way the Lakers win is by Gasol, Bynum and Odom dominating other teams as superior bigs. Pau was MIA and their entire team looked soft. Comparing Kobe's game against the Mavs to Lebron's against the Celtics last year is comparing apples to oranges. Two guys at different points in their careers, on different teams.

As long as I've watched basketball, the closest i've ever seen ONE MAN taking his team to a championship is Lebron James. I dont know what else people expect.

An objective basketball fan (not a Laker bandwagoner or one of the Kobe obsessed fans) has seen Kobe lose a step the last couple seasons. Going into this season it was clear the team would need to rely on other players more. Sure, some expect Kobe to carry the Lakers. Those are the same people who have no idea what basketball is about. I am not sure what he is "acting like" but he is one of the greatest winners in NBA history. That is a fact. Lebron has not won anything of significance. That is also a fact. Therefore comparing the two is not fair, especially when Kobe is winding down his career and Lebron is in the prime of his.

if he's lost it that much he needs to retire. i don't buy that running out of gas non sense. there's players 5 years older than him playing the best basketball of their lives right now (grant hill & steve nash) ... if you can't play like the younger version of you, you need to re-invent yourself and contribute or get the hell out of the game. nash plays through a back condition that requires him to lie on the floor the whole game, he plays through tremendous groin pains and plays 110% every given night even knowing they werent playoff bound. kobe is nowhere near is end in my opinion and needs to not run his mouth if he cant walk the walk.

THe one comment I would like to make even though Lebron did play very very well in overtime is that he did turn the ball over on Miami's potential last drive in regulation: the only thing thta made me smile in the end of that game.

Going from watching the overtime to seeing my thunder falling into a hole was not a fun feeling at all. THe playoffs did not deal me a good hand so far but still early.

lol, outrageous. So if you lose a step you should retire? It is not non-sense to believe the guy is getting older and can't will a team to victory anymore. The Lakers are not built for Kobe to carry them. Their strength has been their big men. Their big men didn't show up. If you notice Phil Jackson played Kobe a lot less this year, knowing he can't carry them night after night. Anyone who follows ball knows Kobe isn't the same Kobe from 3 or 4 years ago. That is what happens as you get older. Enough with Nash. The guy hasn't willed his team to anything or carried them through anything. And Grant Hill is not playing the best ball of his life. Im a Piston fan, I saw him at his best. Averaging 13/4 isnt' great.

Also, when did he "run his mouth"? Saying "I think we can come back from the 0-3 deficit" is standard procedure. You sound like a Suns fan who is still butthurt over years of abuse and letdowns.
