We really appreciate the feedback- please keep it coming!

Unfortunately our competition is on the same day as VIBC, we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. As many of you may know, venues for competitions are booked way in advance to ensure the best accommodations possible.

Last year, in the 2008 competition, we had 3 Bhangra judges and 3 Raas/Garba judges because we understand that these are 2 completely different styles of dancing. We intend to do the same in the competition this year. We are working very hard to find the best judges possible.

R2b2 is more of a modern Raas and Bhangra competition, but at the same time traditionalism is a very big aspect of the judging criteria

University of Texas at Austin - Texas Bhangra (1st)
Emory University - Karma (2nd)
Rice University - Chowl Bhangra
Georgetown Univ. - G.U. Jawani

and the Raas lineup was:

Emory University - Emory SaRaas (2nd)
University of Texas at Austin - Dirty South Dandiya (1st)
Southern Methodist Univ. - The Stix
